Balmoral Recreation Centre

We got there but they had to close the pool because someone had an accident in the pool. It was my first time going. Oh well maybe next time. Couldn't really give a fair rating so I left it at 4 stars. Will rate again when I come back.

When I was younger, I came here every week for public swims & fitness swims. Lifeguards were very cool and nice. The hot tub & sauna was probably the best thing about this place. Using the diving board was always fun!!

Balmoral is a good place for swimming also great for kids and it has a hot tub and a sauna also equipment for the kids like flipper life jacket even floties deep end has a diving board the staff is a little rude but if u take the swim test u dont need to tread only front crawl and back but one staff made me tread in deep water but when I failed I didn't get the green tag but I asked a different staff member and I had to do front crawl only and i passed

I used to do lane swim in YMCA Brampton. My experience here in this community centre was not good. 1st difficult to find as no visible signs were posted on the wall of centre. When u go in the changing room u will find it open space and only one private change room and there were about 12 people in that space. Then it has only 3 showers and people were waiting for there turn. When i entered pool area, air was smelly and hygienic standards were not good. When i was doing lap swim, i was told there are too many people now and u have to do in circles, other people were swimming quiet slow and some were fast so you also have to swim according to pace of others but that is ok as that is same like other pool. THERE WAS SOME BAD ODOR IN THE WATER. When i swam beside a group of ladies who were right on the other side of lane i felt really bad smell, perhaps someone has applied some burn cream or something like that but after that i just came out of pool and went back home. It can happen anywhere but good filtration systems dont let the bad odor or debris to stay there. Here filtration was not good or not enough efficient.I can still sense that bad smell.

I would love to rate this recreation centre better, but I live 3 minutes away from here and can NEVER get a call back regarding my inquiries. I even just went over to speak to someone and - NO ONE was at the front to help. In need of finding a way to improve their customer service.

I swim here my self. The instructors are great and this is one of the biggest/deepest pools in Brampton. Also they host other events there like underwater hokey and boxing. The building itself is located next to a middle school.

I was asked for my payment slip 4 times and 4 times I had to explain that one person was a support to someone in the group who has a disability. Shame...a person with disabilities should not have to go through this. By the way I showed them the access2 card at time of entry.

My review will be based on a comparison to the wellness center on Peter Robertson boulevard.1. The life guards don't sit on their designated chairs, rather they stand next to it and walk around it, not focusing on the pool.2. There are two life guard chairs/positions due to the large pool. Only one has a life guard in its vicinity, the other is almost always empty with no life guard in sight.3. There is only one changing cubicle for men at least, so if you're of the shy variety you may struggle.4. Got hassled by one of the patrons for using the changing cubicle, informed the staff, didn't get a useful reassurance from them.5. Occasional lack of professionalism in the reception staff, overheard a receptionist arguing over the office phone with her bf while leaving and entering.

The community center was okay but it was a little hard to find at first. It's got a word presence when you first walk in and it's a little cramped but the pool is amazing. The deep end is 3.5 metres deep with a diving board. It's a very large will kept pool compared to others. Change rooms are a little small but still good.

I'm giving a 5 star for the facility... but they got a b$%^^h working at the front. Not so good people representing this place. This THING that was there told me she was closed off and she's closed for question. All I wanted to do was to enquire about swimming lessons. Sick my stomach
