What a cute shop! Absolutely adore the the variety of products as well as the customer service. Very lovely stuff! If you are in the neighbourhood I recommend you visit the store and support local!

Placed an order online recently and delivered without issue. Appreciate the care they took when shipping my order. I noticed they took care to carefully wrap/insulate a couple of ink cartridges. With winter shipping ink, there's a risk of freezing. Normally, I avoid buying bottled ink in the winter for this reason. But this time, it slipped my mind, as it was cartridges that came included. Without being asked Bachan's Stationery took precautions on their own and I very much appreciate them for doing so. Hope to one day visit this store in person :)

I used to come in here, but the service is awful, the staff were plain rude, and the owner has zero people skills. I will never set foot in this store again. There are other and better options in this city.Pretty incredible; I post a negative review which was fully deserved and they respond with completely false accusation. This just reinforces the negative experience I had.

Seldom in my life have I received such meticulous and unstinting help with every aspect of my recent shopping at Buchan's. I was on a hunt for a suitable (fountain-pen) birthday-present. The staff at Buchan's spent at least four hours helping me to get exactly the right pen and the perfect ink. I cannot commend their honesty, cheerful energy, and cordial service too warmly or gratefully.

This stationery store in Kerrisdale is a must for anyone looking for fine writing instruments, their selection of brands and types is quite impressive including fountain and ball point, felt tip, markers, and a long etc. Also available, writing paper, cards for every occasion. This store offers many different options if you are searching for a gift for someone special. Their prices are accessible and the customer service is attentive and friendly. You'll be mesmerized by the merchandise on display!

Absolutely lovely to deal with! When an item I ordered was found to be out of stock (sold in store same day I ordered it) they were super quick to call me and offer alternatives, and were wonderfully kind on the phone. Will definitely be shopping there again!!

Buchan's is a unique store, where you can find regular supplies as well as special gifts for people with most sophisticated tastes. I've enjoyed shopping there for myself or to get a present for someone. You always get helped by very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Even my elderly mother loves to get puzzles and art supply from this store. I come to the store sometimes just to look at their window display; the display is beautifully done for every season. You can always find something unique and special @ Buchan's store.

Solid selection of stationery, including their pens. They have a nice selection of Sailor inks, including FWP inks. Very friendly folk, and they let you try the inks if you'd like to see how it is on paper. I will definitely come back again if I want to get more stationery, including pens.

I love this place. They have amazing and unique items. I made a purchase from here yesterday. The reason I am giving 3 stars is only because of the experience I had with the receptionist yesterday. Just so the store owner is aware, I came into the store around 6:10 and bought 4 pens and 2 erasers, paid $17. So what happened was that i asked the receptionist to take out one pen before I was about to pay. I felt i didnt require that color so asked her to take out. She gave a very bad facial reaction and said 'urggh'! I mean why are you standing on the face of customers if you hardly know how to behave? I never said a word to her and left as I dont like stooping low like that. I am leaving this review only because i loved that store and if I am getting such customer service experience, I am not coming back. I even asked my friends to visit here, guess not anymore!
