Take Another Bite
Great bakery with many selections. I got a raspberry scone which was delicious. I also bought chicken parmesan which was delicious but a little pricey. The inside of the bakery is nice and had fast , friendly service. It was in walking distance from Watson’s Mill. A great place to visit if you go to Manotick to see the mill.

I had pre-ordered a chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream and received a vanilla cake with vanilla frosting. I had called the store 3 times to talk to a manager, each time leaving my name and number, each time someone telling me a manager would call me back. I never rec’d a call back. The last person I talked to was extremely rude and even asked me to return the cake. I would have if someone would have called me back the first time I called but I threw it out afterwards because no one in my family eats vanilla cake. My son (who the cake was for) was beyond disappointed as he truly hates vanilla cake and was looking forward to the chocolate cake. The customer service is beyond atrocious. I can’t tell you what the cake tastes like because I didn’t eat it. For a party of 30 people it shows how many people took the cake. What a huge waste of money and food.

A true hidden gem!! Comfort food at it's finest!! The soups at this place are amazing. Baked goods stacked as high as the eye can see when you first walk in the door. There is a huge section of freezer prepared meals to make life easy. The meals are reasonably priced. Two people under 10 bucks for a hearty soup!! You can smell, taste, and see the care and love that goes into the food as soon Nas you walk in the door. Independent owned support local!!!

Good selection of treats and food. The bakery items we got were well made and delicious. The inside was small and nice. Places to sit as well which is nice. Great spot to visit when in Manotick* note that there is a HUGE pothole at the entrance of the parking lot

Best baked goods in the Capital region. Mini chocolate bundt cake is excellent. Catering and prepared foods for takeout look amazing, will pick up some next time.

Ordered three sandwiches (Italian and 2 Roast Beef). The only positive was the roast beef meat (minus the bread and lack of condiments) was tasty. The Italian had maybe 4 thin slices of meat, a tiny amount of mixed greens, a thin spread of mustard and the bread was soggy. I've never been so underwhelmed by a sandwich before. It's a convenient spot for us but unfortunately the mediocre sandwiches won't have us returning.

Staff was friendly and helpful, beautiful location but was greatly disappointed by their shepherds pie. The cooking directions called for the pie to be defrosted the night before and then cooked for 35 mins. After 1.5hrs the pie was still cold in the middle, after two hours even though hot it didn’t taste cooked. The potatoes were grossly undercooked, had a texture of powdered chunks potatoes. The rest was completely flavourless, will go as far as saying disgusting. After spending $35 for it, we were determined to save the meal. We had to add our own spices, garlic butter, cheese to make it edible.

We have been customers for the past few years now. It was great during the pandemic to have super tasty food readily available in our freezer while we worked from home. A large selection of staple foods such as shepherd’s pie, lasagna etc as well as upscaled ones such as boeuf bourguignon, shrimp Alfredo. Some are available in family size format (makes for an easy dinner) or individual sizes. I absolutely recommend the mushroom soup and desserts too.Only peeve: the local delivery used to be $5 and so convenient. It is now $15 and a big increase. I would order more often with a reduced delivery fee. Some places offer free deliver over a certain order amount. Otherwise I find their food pricing to be fair and reasonable.
