UPDATE:1. I did apologize and took responsibility in my original review that I didn’t state clearly the date of the ideal appointment date. But the email chain is very, very, very long, and that was why I lost track of which Wednesday it was. The reception used emails as text messages.2. You didn’t address why the reception professional had such a bad attitude that day, which was why experience was so negative.3. I was not able to wait there on that Wednesday because a. I have work to do, b. the lady that works there was super impatient and not being helpful at all. I couldn’t stand the vibe. At this point it didn’t matter anymore, but I want to state the facts.Not surprised to see a few other negative comments here. I booked a free Invisalign consultation with this clinic to start because I’m not too sure if I will do it. There was miscommunication between the reception and me, we had different understandings of on which Wednesday my consultation was going to be. I Ubered to the clinic and found out that it was actually the Wednesday after. Firstly, I think an admin professional should always include the date after the day of week; but that’s fine, I also had to take 40 % of the responsibility; what made me go berserk was the attitude of the reception lady. She bombarded me with words of accusation and stated how wrong it was of me to come on the wrong day. She ONLY apologized after I sounded dissatisfied and tough. Maybe you had a rough day, but your patients may have rescheduled their day to go there too. How could you get inpatient before they do?

Despite a 30 minute wait before the dentist could see me (she was busy with another patient), Dr. Collins was knowledgeable, patient in explaining aspects of my oral health to me, and made me feel informed about the decision I made.

Dr. Collins is highly personable and knowledgeable, and explained everything I needed to know. The office is conveniently located by the University of Toronto, and the staff are helpful.

Excellent service!I genuinely look forward to my orthodontic appointments; Downtown Orthodontic Dentistry has consistently made me feel like more of a friend than a patient. I've never felt so honestly cared for.

Dr. Collins was a referral from my dentist as I had to have an emergency work on my teeth when I took a tumble on the hard concrete pavement. She did an excellent job on my front teeth to make them aligned normally once again. Totally appreciate her expertise, bedside manner and patience in repairing my teeth. Also, not forgetting her staff, Sirena, who was most helpful and accommodating.

I had braces here years ago and my teeth have shifted. Every appointment here was rushed and unprofessional. I’m going to have to get them done again by a different orthodontist. Don’t waste your time here there are way better orthodontists in the city.

I had what was advertised FREE consultation with Dr Collins on September 2021 and decided not to proceed with any treatment options. I was told there was no fees associated with that visit. Cue 5 months later, she just claimed 140 dollars in exam fee for a visit we had that day- 5 months after an initial visit which she advertised as complementary. why is she even billing my insurance company 5 months later without even informing me? I don't know and I cannot seem to reach her by phone or email. I find it deceptive to say the least. Do yourself a favor and go to another orthodontist who practices with more transparency and professionalism.

Had a great experience at Downtown Orthodontics with Dr Collins and Serena at the reception.I'm very satisfied with the results and since this is a 1 1/2 year treatment, the process of getting to this result was also extremely pleasant. I always received an appointment swiftly when required.Most importantly, Dr. Collins offered her professional opinion on the treatment, but was always willing to do whatever should could to give the result I personally wanted, regardless of it was extra work. I decided to opt for her professional opinion though! :)5 stars.

I called to inquire about the cost of braces and was met with rudeness and a snarky attitude. I was word for word told that maybe I should make more money by the receptionist just because I was asking about cost. Extremely unprofessional.
