Steinbach MCC Thrift Shop

Always a great experience visiting this store. There's a real community feel when you come in. Sometimes a few people gathering in the furniture department and catching up on the latest news. Well stocked store and well organized. It's easy to find what you are looking for. I like the new Clearance racks with a .50 tag on them.Wheelchair accessible parking but no automated doors.Friendly staff. Love the new tall girl who really has a sense of style and flare for fashion in the clothing department. Thanks Nina.

No longer a pleasant shopping experience, the few volunteers I spoke to were rude and unfriendly. They wouldn't let me try any clothes on and the reason was originally, they aren't letting anyone try on to sporadically if someone is there to let you try things on. The prices have increased drastically for many clothing items, and the overall shopping experience has gone from 10/10 to 1/10, what a difference a year makes. This use to be such a great shopping experience, its sad there are time limits, it appears junky" and now the staff seem so miserable."

Friendly staff, great prices. Low on stuff .

We love making the short trip from Winnipeg and checking out what is new here, every 3 or 4 months.The volunteers are always very friendly and helpful.

I enjoy shopping here, and almost always find a treasure to take home. Some thrift stores are quite dusty and musty, and as someone with scent sensitivity, I can’t shop in those places very long before getting a headache. This is not a problem for me at MCC. I also appreciate the organization and lack of clutter so it’s easier to find what I’m looking for. Yes, the prices have gone up over the last few years (as some other reviewers have pointed out), but it doesn’t bother me. It’s still cheaper than Value Village and buying new, and the proceeds go towards supporting a great charitable organization that helps people around the world, so I’m happy to support that. Occasionally there will be something priced incorrectly (aka higher than new retail price), but just as often I find items that are worth FAR more than the price they are listed at, so it balances out. I also don’t know about these reviews of people being rude, I have visited this MCC for many years and the volunteers and management have always been kind and helpful.

Excellent price on clothes, clean and organised. You can usual find a good deal on something here. I was even given some freshly cooked buns on my way out.Thanks
