Pearl River Restaurant
May 30, 2023 update. Back now for the 3rd time. Food is still excellent as is the service. Portion size is good for the price and the flavours are outstanding.Jan 2023 Not a really fancy place but it has been in this location 40 years and it is two or three steps up decor wise, from most asian restaurants. Waiters all wear white dress shirts and black dress pants, clean carpeted floors and table cloths on all the tables. Place is clean, in good shape and a good size. Fourty years by the same owners tells you the food is very good. Service is friendly and right there when you need it. Will definitely be going back.

After eating Asian inspired dishes all over Edmonton for the last two decades, I have finally found the definition of delicious.Pearl River nails it on all fronts. Great service, fast service, fresh fresh fresh, and portions that leave you in awe!We tried several dishes. Szechuan chicken, beef and black bean, paradise shrimp, Singapore chow mien and few others. ALL amazing.Can’t wait to go back!

Food is delicious. The menu has a lot of variety. Service is excellent and the atmosphere is pleasant and quiet enough that you can actually have a conversation with your dinner companions! I will definitely be going here again!

Ordered takeaway and was pleased overall. The food was ready at the time promised and service was prompt and friendly. The prices are reasonable and portion size adequate. The must try dish is the shrimp with paradise sauce. Battered shrimp with a cream sauce with a hint of curry. Absolutely delicious!

The food here is on point. I would climb to the top of Mount doom for the peach shrimp. The lemon chicken is on point. Everything here is amazing. The service was impeccable. I have not been here in months and the server remembered everything we ordered. I honestly can't say enough about this place. I will most definitely be coming back. I can't say enough about the food here. But the service. As an indigenous person I have received some of the worst service you could imagine. I would come back here for the service alone. I don't feel unwelcome or unwanted, or like my money isn't real. This place is hands down one of the best in Edmonton. Thank you for your delicious food and great service

This is a very classy place with great portion sizes of Chinese food. I recommend the Combo 1 for 2 people, as it gives you more than enough and includes an egg/spring roll, a choice of soup, some entrees, a dessert and drink for around $22/person.

Been here with my wife for a dinnerOrdered wanton soup, fried rice, and szchuan chicken. Fried Chicken with szchaun sauce was amazingly mixed with vegetables. Wanton soup was good tooKind staff
