My kids and i went last August. We're doing the 11 hour drive again ,first 2 weeks of July.We really enjoyed the 9 days there. Friendly people, bathrooms top notch. Ice is the only issue at times. Bringing a mini fridge this year.It was a trip down memory lane for me as I went up north as a kid every yr to Manitouwadge to visit family and did day trips to White Lake.Good times.

This isn't the place to go if you are looking for a relaxing camping trip. There was only one other site rented in the area we were in so it was a little eerie. I feel like it's made for fishermen. So keep in mind at dawn they're up with their trucks and boats so you get woken uo then. At night a train goes by 3 times and is soo loud as well. The mosquitos are on another level as well. Nothing stopped them; thermacel, area spray, deet or smoke from a fire.

Great campground. Well maintained, hidden gem. There is several trains that go through, as train time is anytime, not ideal. Hiking trails are well marked. Beach is sandy, great for kids. kayaks, paddleboat and canoes are all available for rental. Saw 1 bear, and a few chipmunks and squirrels. Some sites are located with direct access to private beach area. Campsites are private with lots of trees. Bathrooms / showers are closed daily from 10am to 12 noon, slight inconvenience. Soap and running water. Outhouses are fully stocked with toilet paper, running water, and soap.

Huge sites, pretty private, close off the highway for a quick stay like ours. Heard the train horn just after 8am on a Sunday which was no biggie for us as we were up. Other than that it is very quiet here. Wish we could have had full hook ups but this is to be expected at a provincial park. Big play ground and a decent beach. Boil water advisory. Current fire ban on.

Brought my son for one night of camping. Site was littered with the last campers empty bottles and food. Picked a beach lot ...small beach had broken glass, empty beer cans as well as an empty Hydrochloric acid container in a baby carrier sitting there. There was also the previous campers make shift fire pit on the beach. We set up camp and my son waded into the water by our beach. When he came out he had 6 small leaches on his feet ... not a swimming lake. We collected small small sticks off the beach and made a small fire in the previous campers pit. Within a half an hour the ranger came and wrote me up $180.00 ticket for an unsanctioned fire. No warning, no discussion. It was next to a lake where a previous fire had been made ... I didn't really think it was an issue. I could have put it out with a cup of water. I was calm and non-confrontational yet this ranger treated me like I was a criminal. I pointed out the Acid container in the baby carrier and he simply removed it. Pictures will be on Trip Advisor. What a disgrace for a provincial park. Oh and no cell service, no toilet paper, no Ice, no pop machine.

Absolutely beautiful campground, but not a good spot if you're looking for a quick night off the highway. Our old tent trailer took a beating on the looooong bumpy road to the campground. Great comfort station and it really is lovely. Absolutely no cell service making working on the road difficult. More of a getaway place than a stop over on a long drive.

Quite a nice Provincial Park, a bit west of White River.Nice selection of camping spots, a boat launch and a nice sandy beach.

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay at this Provincial Park! The park itself has many nights sites and the showers were clean and hot. The only unfortunate thing is that currently you need to bring your own water or boil the water before cooking or drinking but they say they are working on that. The hiking trails are a must do if you are able. I recommend driving or biking to the trail heads. Especially the Clearwater Lake Trail as it is the furthest away but 100% worth going. We had the entire lake to ourselves and it is a nice sandy bottom clear lake with a Canoe/Paddles at the lake (bring your own life jackets). We saw a bald eagle and an owl. We did all 3 hikes (excluding the fitness trail) in one day. The staff is super friendly. I was disappointed they don’t have any provincial park stickers available for the rest of the year but the park is great. Thanks for having us.

Cozy and not overly developed sites or roadways make this campground a beauty. The amenities (esp hot showers) were a wonderful treat!WARNING: Trains regular use the nearby rail line and blast their horn in the middle of the night.
