Sport Chek

We went to the Sportchek location at Confederation in Saskatoon sometime in the afternoon on 11th June, 2022. We were there for an exchange for a women's pair of shoes. We got the shoes on 23rd May, 2022 and we did not have the receipt but I showed the associate with the bank transaction on the phone( Associate's name was Rylan). He asked me to shop around for the shoe to be exchanged and he will find the receipt till the meantime. I came back to the front desk and stood in line with the pair of shoes to be exchanged and one more pair that I wanted to get. When my turn came he asked me to wait outside the line till he helps other customers first. I waited again for sometime and then when I asked about how much time it will take, he said it will take some time as we did not have the receipt. He called another associate, who came also started helping other customers. All this time, no explanation was given to me about who is pulling up the receipt and how much time it will take. We were in the store for 30-40 minutes at this point. After waiting for some time more, my husband asked them how long it will take and the other associate said that since we did not have the receipt, it takes time to pull up the old receipt. Then my husband asked that guy who was pulling up hat receipt and hilariously that guy pointed towards Rylan who initially asked us to wait outside the line. After a little to and forth, they finally decided to help us and it took them less than a minute to pull up the receipt. Why were we asked to wait for so long when the actual time taken to help was less than a minute. Both the associates were obnoxious and rude when they were questioned. I am never coming back to Sport Chek again and make sure that this message gets conveyed to other customers who go to shop at that location.

Exceptional customer service. Especially Abby. I came in the other day looking for some good walking shoes, Abby offered me a variety of options and answered all my questions. My feet have never felt better. Thanks Abby!

My experience was great at this store. I was just walking around browsing the men’s shoe section and an employee named Emma came over and asked if i needed any help. She was very kind, caring, and really asked how my day was going. MODEL EMPLOYEE!!

I peeked my head in the associate area because no one was on the floor to help me. The employees are not properly trained based on how rudely they treated me. Simply handed me the box with my shoes and walked away like I was a massive inconvenience. Absolutely terrible customer service skills. No one apologized to me or even told me thank you. It’s almost as if they do not care if you buy something or don’t.

Service was not great, shoes were marked wrong and a couple were mismatched. Overall, the store was in disarray.

Every time I go into this location ; No one greets you or offers you help . It’s almost an inconvenience to the employees to ask for assistance . Went In last week looking for rubber boots and slacks for my children , it is that time of season . They had absolutely nothing . I always find that I walk out more times empty handed then I do go actually purchasing something .

I wish I could give a zero. Walked in today to buy a couple of items, three employees behind the counter just talking and laughing , they never bother to help. On top of it I lost my keys while trying an item and nobody helped me. I was the only customer at that time in the store. I will never ever go back to this location. I felt humiliated because I was in trouble not finding my car keys and all I was hearing was them chuckling. Definitely the rudest attitude towards paying customers.

Went today and the staff are amazing. Got a pair of pants that also turn into shorts and a T-shirt. The staff are wonderful to chat with. The young girl helped me so much and she took the time was great. Even the staff in the sports section are amazing. The staff care about customers and want to say Thank You. Cheers.!

Just horrible customer service here comparing their Midtown’s outlet. The Sales Associates (SAs) are very uncooperative. I have been there many times since it is just a mile away from my home. But almost always get the same customer service — poor and unprofessional. If you go to Midtown and inquire about a product, the SA there will, actually, take the time to serve you to your satisfaction. They will nicely tell you if they don’t have a size for a product and also suggest you where you can find that. That’s what I call good customer service. In contrast, for this one, the SAs (most of them) are just entitled. I inquired about the size of a pair of shoes today for my wife and asked the SA whether they have size 8.5 or not. The SA was extremely annoyed or disturbed by my inquiry. I ended up buying it online. They need proper training.EDIT: I am changing my ratings since the store Manager actually reached out to me and heard me out. He had assured that he will look into the training that the SAs been through and train them more where necessary. It was really nice talking to him. Also, I very much appreciate that they are proactively trying to improve their service. Good wishes!
