Do not go in here if you do not plan on spending. I can guarantee you, that you will come out of this store at least a few dollars poorer. Whether it be a little trinket for your grandma's Christmas tree, a quirky birthday card as your last minute gift idea, a limited edition book collection that will only collect dust on your shelf, to a basic mug with the first letter of your name printed on it and a matching one for your significant other, there will be ALWAYS something that you will justify using your hard earned money on. So again, I highly recommend looking at your bank account before entering the premises of this establishment. Good luck!

Great Finds, but Long Checkout Lines.Despite the limited stationery selection compared to other Indigo departments, I always manage to find what I need at this Yorkdale location. The customer service is top-notch. However, the long checkout lines with just one or two cashiers can be frustrating. Waiting 15-20 minutes to pay is not pleasant. Overall, a good store, but be prepared for potential delays at checkout.

I was here for a book signing, The Melancholy Of Summer, by Louisa Onomé, also 2 other authors where there to sign their books. I am giving Indigo 5start rating just because of this event, but the customer service maybe 1 start, I ask for where the event was going to take place and I got just a finger pointing in the air, not that there where busy, I think a little more interest on your customers will go a long way.

An exceptional bookstore known for its well-organized sections and friendly staff. They have a vast collection of manga, thoughtfully arranged alphabetically for easy perusal. The staff is incredibly kind and always ready to assist customers. If you call to inquire about specific items, they gladly go the extra mile to personally check their availability. For book lovers seeking a warm and enjoyable shopping experience, Indigo is the perfect destination.

Went to an author event here last night and was really disappointed with the poor planning. We arrived a few minutes after the “doors open” time of 6pm and were directed to go upstairs and stand in line to wait to be sent back downstairs back to the front of the store to check-in. After about 15-20 minutes of standing in line upstairs we were directed back downstairs to the check in area and told there was no seating left and everyone else would have to stand. This was quite a shock as there was no indication on the tickets that seating would be limited. Everyone else was directed to stand in a cramped area at the back of the seats directly blocking the only external door in the store that leads outside of the mall. Once the event was about to begin the door was then locked so people couldn’t enter the store through that door but in any sort of emergency that door is now useless until someone gets through the crowd and unlocks the door… (not very smart considering a shooting happened at this mall 2 weeks ago). Many people were leaving the event early as the standing area was hot and crowded making people feel faint and uncomfortable. Not to mention it was extremely tone deaf to have the events director Jeremy Cammy stand on the stage and talk about how “well organized” this event is while half of the attendees stared at each other in disbelief. Some people tried to find room to sit on the ground around the stage but were told to get up and move to the standing area which at that point was already packed full of seemingly over half of the ticket holders. Many people voiced the same complaints wondering why we paid for tickets to stand at the back of the store when anyone could enter from the mall and listen in for free. It was hard to enjoy the event when all you can think about is how much longer you’ll have to stand and sweat in a crowd of people. We walked away from the event just before the end of the Q&A to collect our signed books and leave to avoid standing in line for another hour (would have made almost 3 hours straight of standing in one spot). I’m hoping that this feedback can be taken into consideration for future events seeing as authors don’t usually make stops in Canada and we would all like the experience to be as enjoyable as possible.
