Great Blue Heron Casino & Hotel

We had a very comfortable night here. The room (ours was on the main level) had high ceilings, a nice soaker tub and very comfortable king bed. There was a bit of late night noise from happy guests, but not for too long. The hotel was even able to accommodate us with early check in. Very friendly reception.

Staff were friendly. Facility is beautiful. Love the art works throughout. However, no extra pillows, and extra linens were dirty

This place is a joke! If you don’t see it for yourself you wouldn’t believe what goes on in this place. They close their cashier cage to go on breaks lol. People either have to wait 30 min to cash out or take their chips home and cash out next time they come back. I really don’t know how this place is allowed to operate. Tried to play some poker, had to wait hours because they said they don’t have enough dealers. Tried to order a drink waitress told me she was already here to take orders and will get me next round as she is the only one on the floor lol. I overheard one customer complain about not being able to get coffee. The food and beverage manager lady literally and rudely told him that if he wants a coffee he should go and get it himself from the bar. Lol even when trying to go to the bathroom you have to go searching for an open one cause they frequently close them off for cleaning. Everything is super expensive and on top of that they charge customers for water now. Lol Customer service is completely non existent in this place. It’s almost like everyone is doing you a favor by letting you in that place.

It is clean and spacious. We had a suite with a small kitchenette, living and dining room. The bathroom size is huge. There is a pull-out bed in the couch.We had four people in our party and this room was perfect.The restaurant by the casino is decent. The portion size is average and the prices are fair. Food quality is average also.

It is our first time at Great Blue Heron Casino and Hotel. Though it is a small hotel, it is very nice and very clean. The check in counter is small and manned by only one staff. Luckily for me and my friends the day we checked in, the hotel was celebrating its first anniversary and had gifts for guests. They even had coffee and treats in the lobby. Normally they would only have coffee available for guests. The room had a safe, mini fridge, tv, and in the bathroom the liquid body wash provided at 35 ml (1.1 fl oz) is only good for one person and there is no shower cap. Since it was late in the evening we did not bother to ask if there was one. There is a walkway leading to the casino located beside the hotel.  The casino also had coffee, juices, baked goods, cake to celebrate the anniversary. The Guest Services is unmanned most of the time that there is no one to talk to when one has questions. For dine in there is the Water's Edge Restaurant. We had two orders of chicken wings one with honey garlic sauce and the other in hot sauce, chicken parmesan served with spaghetti and beer battered fish and chips. The food is alright. The hotel and casino staff provided excellent customer service, very warm and friendly to guests.

Took my Grandma for her 92 nd Birthday .Many of the staff took time out to wish her a Happy Birthday .We had some awesome Pina Coladas.Very clean and was not busy at all .Although there was a snowstorm outside .I'm not a fan of the parking lot set up for handicap parking. I recommend that the driver drop at the door and then park if other passengers have mobility issues .It's a little far still, but snow made it farther and more unsafe .

Not too large casino but good machines and a great experience. Stuff is awesome.

Been here 4x. Changing my review. Machines were down all over, ones I wanted to play were either down, gone or reserved( on a Saturday night) water would be nice or complimentary beverages. Seeing as not one time in 2 hours were we asked if we wanted drinks. The employee I spoke with briefly couldn't seem to care and try to answer a simple question. Machines seemed tight but then again never had much luck here compared to other casinos under great Canadian brand. They also don't have a good variety compared to other ones. Like if you want people to come here instead of Toronto try a little harder.

Very good hotel: clean, comfortable and spacious. Bathroom amenities are complete except for the absence of body lotion ( no idea why ). The restaurant has a good selection of food and of good quality, too. The staff in both hotel, restaurant and casino are courteous, polite and very personable.
