Numerous times I’ve purchased items only to get home to realized they are past the best before dates…not by a day or 2, but by weeks…you’d think with the astronomical prices that it wouldn’t be the consumers responsibility to double check dates. I now do the majority of my shopping at no frills where items are less expensive and much fresher. The stars that I did leave are because the staff are absolutely wonderful.

Super nicely stocked, well staffed and thankfully, ignoring the inhuman self checkout syndrome of the big cities. (those things are awful, treat us like cows at feeding troughs, take away social contact). Support this store, support people cashiers, support stores who accept cash as always like this place!

Safeway is my favorite place to shop, though prices are higher than Walmart on a lot of stuffThe things I refuse to buy at Walmart, for example, meat of any kind and love to get my sandwich deli meat cut there. But the Deli has disappointed me lately from closing it early with 2 hours left before 9 pm twice now and were doing this as well 2 or 3 months agoThey would have gotten 5 stars if they keep that deli open, and their pastries have been un stocked a lot lately

RACIAL PROFILING! Been shopping here for years. This was the first time we had a issue with the employees. We baught steaks and BBQ supplies. My little brother needed the restroom and afterward I paid for the groceries. My brother tried to buy imodium at the front and the female employee grabbed the item out of his hands by the pharmacy section. She had asked him a bunch questions. She grabbed every item off the shelf and brought them to customer service to check inventory. As we told other workers all they did was stare at us on how she treated us. They then said bye out loud 4x and told us to leave. They later said they watched us shop from when we first walked in and told both of us they followed us. Went there today and they know have signs up and placed everything behind the front customer service. My brother is dialsis patient and has runs 3x week. He has caterates so he is partially blind due to his eye surgerys. The employees need to work on there customer service.

Cashier was chatting with bagger for 3 min straight and I was just waiting for her to start scanning my items I have never ever experienced this at a grocery store in my life. Edit 1 year later the staff very close minded they treat costumers by the way look maybe teach staff a little bit about (multiculturalism)

They abit more expensive but meat an produce i worth it if you care about what you put into your body
