Morning Mist Resort

Big thank you to Nicole and Brent for a terrific 3 night stay. It's easy to find. Well laid out. Very scenic and all the comfort stations were spotless. We had site 34 and were very pleased with it. Large site and fire pit tucked far enough away from trailer. Enjoyed a nice trip up-river in our boat rental. Reasonably priced. And firewood was also reasonably priced. We've already booked for next year!

If you want a campground with an amazing beach,outstanding staff and with the ability to rent a cottage or trailer than this is the right place. Personally, I was surprised by the extreme lack of mosquitoes and the fact that you can do a campfire during a fire ban because they have a firetruck. If you want to speak to the staff they’re never far away and the office is open 12 hours a day (from:9am to 9pm)so you can speak with them and if you love fishing they have canoes and a doc and a couple other boats for fun.

First place I have come across that will let me ride ATV and dirt bike in and out of park, trails right across the road. Rented the 28 ft trailer. Clean comfortable, air con, fire wood included. I will be back for more riding.

Stayed here for a full week in mid July. Our site was a very large pull through, with full services.The park seems to be mostly seasonal sites and the residents tend to group together but are friendly enough.The beach, while not huge, has clean sand and an easy entry for all ages.A separate area is provided for dogs to swim.Basic watercraft (kayaks, canoes, paddle boards) are provided as are life jackets.Firewood was close to the best I’ve come across in the past 2 years, nice and dry and long burning.Wifi was non operational during our stay and cell signal was almost non-existent.For remote workers, best to have a booster or some form of backup.25 mins to Deep River for supplies, It’s a little off the beaten path but well worth the trip.Will definitely be back.

Found this gem of a campground when we couldn't get in to one of the Provincial Parks for the August long weekend, and boy, are we ever glad we got shut out of the Provincial parks! We could not have found a better place!The owners are absolutely phenomenal - friendly, helpful, hard-working, and you can tell they take pride in their campgrounds.The facilities are well-maintained and very clean. The comfort station is better than any Provincial Park or private campground I've been to. With 6 individual bathrooms, each with their own shower, toilet, and sink, along with plenty of room to get changed and electrical outlets, there was never a lineup to use the showers/washrooms.There is a really nice sandy beach with a dog-friendly beach section as well. And there is a raft out in the water to make swimming even better.They also have a good selection of non-motorized watercraft (kayaks, pedal boat, SUP, etc) for guests to use free-of-charge and have motorized boats available to rent.There is also a play area for kids, a sports area complete with volleyball net, basket ball hoop, tetherball, and a soccer field with nets.The campsites themselves are exceptional. Big lots with lots of privacy for the most part.And, at Morning Mist, you will never have a fire ban because they have their own on-site fire trucks!!! They sell good firewood right there and deliver it to you at your site in a large Rubbermaid container so it stays dry if it rains. Great quality wood at a very reasonable rate.I can't recommend this gem of a campsite enough.They also have seasonal campsites and cottages for rent, as well as a 28 foot trailer on site to rent.This place has something for everyone.

We had a great time and owners are amazing. Just disappointed that the wifi wasn't working and the pool needed repair. Apparently the wifi has been down for 2 years, according to a relative who has stayed here for a couple of years.

We couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend an October week! Rented boat, caught fish, biked/hiked along Ottawa river on both Ontario and Quebec sides. Colours were breathtaking!The overall feel of the campground was welcoming, friendly and felt like home. Fellow campers were super friendly always waving or saying hello. The park itself, including bathrooms, is fresh, clean and well maintained. A testament to how amazing the owners, Brent and Nicole, run their business.

Awesome resort near the site I was working at. The cabins were clean and well maintained. Our cabin had a screened in porch that was awesome.The view from the beach is stunning. Especially in the morning, where the resort really lives up to its name. I'd 100% stay here again!

Several members of my family have been camping at your resort for several years now. I booked a cottage and recently had to cancel and feel like I am getting the run around to get my deposit back. There has been communication through e-mail and phone calls. I cancelled on March 22, 2023. Received a phone call back from Nicole almost a week later.. was told that Brent would refund my deposit but would probably take a couple days before he could get to it... so I waited patiently and didn't receive my refund. I tried calling back and voicemail said please contact by email as phone lines were down due to maintenance. So I sent an email and got a reply back from Brent now saying you are on vacation and won't be back for a week. Now it's almost 2 weeks from my initial cancellation and still haven't received my deposit back. Not very impressed as I feel this is not very professional service and feel like I am being brushed off with excuses. Really hoping this isn't the matter and this gets resolved ASAP.
