Wellman Lake Lodge

Do not stay here! Cabins are way over priced and are very dirty! Our cabin had piles of dust collected on ceiling fan that we had to clean off. We originally had a larger cabin booked but owners told us after paying deposit that we had to switch to smaller cabin 10 days before our stay ( booked cabins in March). Grass wasn’t cut when we got there! Didn’t have a bbq like it said it came with, maintenance man eventually brought a dilapidated bbq over that was falling apart and hadn’t been cleaned, tried cleaning it with brush and grill was falling apart. Since we got switched to a smaller cabin we had to use a pull out that was full of dog hair and dirt, it was absolutely disgusting. Couldn’t get rid of dog hair as there isn’t any vacuum to clean it yourself and maintenance people didn’t clean it either. It was infested with bugs as well. Killed hundreds of bugs inside cabin during our stay. Half the bulbs in the fixtures are burnt out. Fridge was dirty with leftover food inside. Window screens are falling apart and taped up. Cabin is a huge fire hazard with smoke detector missing. Could go on but not worth the time as owners claim no one has complained before but after reading comments that clearly isn’t the truth..

Best food for miles . Great atmosphere and very good staff . Would recomend the trip for a meal to anyone . Great portions and reasonable prices . I will definitely be back .

Food was amazing! Had the flat bread and wings. Sauce on flatbread is delicious, its a little spicy but great if you like that. Wings lightly breaded & delicious. Well worth the drive just for a snack. Owner and staff are cool. Will return.

Great food, friendly staff. Many updates, a hidden gem in the duck mountains, a must when visiting wellman lake.

cabin was nice had enough space for 3 couples. BUT...the floor hadnt seen a mop for a very long time nor had the rest of the cabin seen a cleaner for some time.No key for the doorNo BBQNo tvNo WifiKitchen window crank was bustedThe table was stuck to the floor from grease or pop or both.Diaper behind the couch when WE cleaned on the saturday morning.We didnt see anyone from the resort all weekend until it was time to leave Sunday AM and all of a sudden someone came by to collect on the last half of the fee like Johnny on the Spot. We totally understood that its the off-season and the restaurant and store were closed but leaving a cabin in that condition for people to rent is attrocious.The lake, however, was gorgeous! That gets the 1 star.

My partner and I stayed at the campground 2 years ago and it was a wonderful experience, the food in the restaurant is reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. However, for my birthday on September 15 2021 my partner booked a cabin with a jacuzzi for 2 nights. The lodge gave our reservation to someone else with the same first name as my partner and didn't check last names. And it was hard to get a hold of staff to check in. We were given a different cabin for the first night, and then given our original reservation for our second night. I hope for future reservations they check ID before assuming as it kind of ruined my birthday.

Friendly staff . More then fair prices for campground resturant . The pulled pork pountine is awsome and large portion a meal on it own . The one in are who had the burger said it was awsome

If you want to take someone out for an experience they'll never forget, this place is it. The service was top notch. The food was fresh, crispy and in GENEROUS portions. I know where we're going for future birthdays and anniversaries.

We went on a road trip and stopped there as we know the owners which incidentally is NOT the people running the place. Food was really pricey and to be honest I’ve had better at fast food places. The cook/manager is extremely rude to his staff. Not worth the trip.
