no complaints! they spayed my kitty without issue, she didn't look too spooked after. staff were happy to answer my questions and explained everything clearly when I took her back with her medication and instructions. would return if the need arose.

The first time we took Churchill to them, he was only 2. Like all cats, he hated going to the vet but the experience was so pleasant that by the time we left, he had already begun to like the nurses. His last visit was 9 years later, when we took Churchill there for aftercare. The staff who received us had shown deep compassion for our loss and we could tell it wasn't just because it was her job; she really cared.Days after we received Churchill's ashes, a card arrived at the mailbox. Every staff had written on that card to console us. They didn't have to do that, but they did.I would like to thank everyone from the Companion Animal Hospital. Churchill was lucky to have people like them to see him off on his new journey. We miss Churchill so much.

They tried to charge me for vaccines BCSPCA covered. When I said BCSPC would pay the costs, they did not trust me and kept us waiting as if we were liars and scammers until they find out that the mistake was on their side. There is a lack of communication between employees, they are confused and blame you for their mess. I felt distracted and humiliated .Do not reccomend.

Dr klair, is a kind, caring, gentle to my 2 cats Luke and leia and to my dog Annabelle. I understand that they can be a handful but Dr klair makes them feel comfortable like that have a second home.I have been to many doctors, that I felt they weren’t treating my pets correctly, but Dr klair isn’t like that. I will for sure be recommending Companion animal hospital to all my friends and family.

I brought a little black bird to Companion, in the summer. It fell into my dogs wading pool. And couldn’t get out! Then didn’t move!!!I picked him up and put him in container with a towel and dropped him off. They took care of him, and he was able to fly away shortly after! I was most grateful for this little black bird being saved by such kind staff!

First off, I’m a physician, so it is quite easy for me to spot deviation from professional practice. I don’t claim to know everything about furry friends, but they should not sound too outrageous. This clinic is NOT recommended!Brought my dog in for acute nausea and vomiting, expecting a simple blood and stool test and dewormer/antibiotics to treat the infection.Day 1 with Dr. Klair - she recommended x-ray. I questioned what she was looking for, to which she answered, “the cause.” What did she think could be the cause other than infectious agent? Was she going to look for foreign objects like metal on x-Ray? “Yes, metal” What about the fact that one cannot have two dogs having diarrhea from ingestion of metal pieces? They are also not in pain, belly nontender nor lethargic. She became speechless and asked me what I wanted. I had to teach her the most common cause would be parasitic, so here, pick up this stool sample and run the test.Day 2 with Dr. Singh - he says blood test shows some elevated amylase which means there is pancreatitis. Fine, everyone who has been vomiting for days will get some of it. He says it’s “doubled! It’s serious. We must do a spect-CPT.” It sounds expensive, and I asked what’s the test going to show? “To confirm pancreatitis.” Will it show the cause of it? “No, just to confirm.” No, I do not see any point of it. There is already pancreatitis from elevated amylase, so skip this expensive test. How do we treat him if there is pancreatitis? “Low fat diet” then I may as well start with a low fat diet now? Cheaper! “Oh, maybe IV fluid too.” No, the dogs are eating and drinking fine, also not in pain and playing. Don’t waste that money. “Now that’s your decision; we don’t want that.” How can two dogs have pancreatitis at the same time? Can infection cause pancreatitis that can be lethal? “No.” Then the simplest explanation is vomiting and diarrhea caused acute pancreatitis. It’s benign and should resolve on its own, does not require any of the pricy treatment he recommends, right? (Now he went speechless)In conclusion, money driven. Do NOT come!

The staff are really amazing people in the animal doctor is very compassionate towards all animals. I’ve taken my 22 year old cat that I rescued from the SPCA there and I’ve had excellent service.

Our usual vet was booked up when we were referred here to get our cat treated for an open wound. Procedure all in was just under $1000. We returned a couple weeks later as instructed to get our cat’s stitches removed, only they missed some stitches. Phoning in, I was being asked “when I would like” to come back in and there was no accountability on their end or remorse for asking me to book time off work and add a 40 minute commute round trip to return for a 3rd visit. At the vet, once again no acknowledgement or accountability. Not the end of the world that they made a mistake - I wouldn’t be leaving this review if that’s all it was. But it’s their lack of accountability that really gets at me. Takes a minute and only a few words to say “we made a mistake and we apologize for asking you to come back in” especially after spending a thousand dollars. Won’t be returning to this vet clinic.
