RTR Ranch Retreat

This was a perfect getaway! A cute little one-room cabin that was very comfortable for our 3 nights here. Amanda and Daryl are so kind and helped make our stay great. Seeing all the animals and taking a trail ride helped us really appreciate the country life and relax. The nearby towns were fun to explore and the Mossleigh bar and grill was delicious and very affordable! I’d also recommend taking some time to visit little bow lake! We used the smart TV every night and ate breakfast on the porch to enjoy the scenery. Be advised there’s another rental close by and currently only a porta potty! The ranch is big though so lots to explore. Definitely recommend any of the listings on this property!

My partner booked this place for our anniversary and I pretty much came in blind and we were both pretty exhausted from some big pushes of work. Due to the location I wasn't expecting much, was looking forward to a quiet escape and to relax more than anything. Boy, was I ever in for a big surprise and we had the best time! It's very clean space and more modern and comfortable than it looks pulling up. I really loved the privacy of the bunkhouse and Amanda and Daryl were so great at communicating with us and were so attentive to all our needs.Because of how tired I was I was a little hesitant about the horse ride, despite being quite comfortable riding. When we got to it I was blown away by Daryl and how amazing of a mentor he was. You can tell how experienced they must be as riders and how well he and Amanda treat and train their animals. I was so impressed at how responsive the horses were and handled, it made it such an incredible joy to explore their beautiful property and we got a beautiful fall weekend. By far my best riding experience ever, it was so profound that we extended our trip and squeezed in an extra sunset ride the very next day and despite the last minute request they made it happen for us.Ultimately, got to feel a beautifully deep connection with the land, animals, and thus my partner and the wonderful family and animals they have (shout out to J.Lo). We really want to come back and do the full riding experience in the mountains with them, we will remember this weekend forever. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for more than I could have imagined or expected for such a short weekend retreat!

I spent a weekend here and can honestly say it’s been the best weekend I’ve had in years. They offer a great trail ride would highly recommend it. Both Amanda and Daryl were extremely easy to talk to and always available if I needed anything. Everything in the cabin was extremely clean and taken care of. I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

My daughter and I stayed in the bunkhouse for 2 nights to celebrate her birthday. We loved it! It was everything listed and more. Amanda and Daryl were so kind and accommodating. We enjoyed horseback riding lessons and a trail ride. Such a great experience. And Amanda even made a delicious dessert to help us celebrate my girls bday. Little personal touches like that made our stay so memorable and left us not wanting to go home at the end of our weekend.

Our stay at RTR Sept 2022 was nothing less than amazing! Very peaceful and comfortable, surrounded by beautiful nature, people and animals- is just what we needed and got. Amanda and Daryl are genuinely kind and considerate hosts that would go above and beyond for their guests' comfort and joy.Now, to wrap up our words of gratitude for these amazing hosts and the fantastic retreat ranch, we can't help but bring the name Jaylo! That beautiful and super kind dog stole our heart at first sight! We can't wait to be back!

This is a little slice of heaven. Every detail is perfect and made beyond that by Amanda and Daryl’s kindness and attention to detail as hosts. The bed of the tiny house is comfortable, the space is gorgeous, and the property is a stunning. We really enjoyed sitting in the small private deck area relaxing in the sun after a long day of travel. We hope to return to this incredible property and highly recommend it for others as well.Note- if you’re travelling with a rental car, make sure to get something that can handle the gravel road drive!

We went for a girls weekend. The ranch exceeded our expectations! We felt relaxed as soon as we arrived. From being greeted by Amanda and the friendly dog, Jaylo, to the adorable and comfortable cabin to the extraordinary views and sunsets, the ranch was a perfect getaway. We were fortunate to have Daryl patiently teach us about their horses and how to connect and confidently ride throughout the property. It was the best experience I’ve ever had riding.Amanda and Daryl were wonderful hosts and we look forward to returning!

An amazing five day natural horsemanship course and lovely retreat.You could not hope for a more comfortable and welcoming environment in a more stunning setting. This was a bucket list trip for me and my friend and it did not disappoint. The hosts? Incredible. The horses? Spectacular. The massage midweek? Perfection.We learned so much, with coaching that made us both feel like infinitely better riders.Unexpectedly, beyond the horsemanship, this was therapy, and a real journey of self discovery (really). Don’t hesitate.

The scenery, the horses , the ranch itself made you feel a true part of the western culture and beauty of Alberta. This is a place where you can really get away from it all ".
