I visit Maxi only because I have their gift card and I should use it. My last visit I surprised that the hot baguette that I bought was hot only from the outside but from inside it still frozen.. That will kill my colon, it's the last time I will buy baguette from Maxi. Plus, it's not the ideal place to shop if you want the best prices, but it will be if you want to find everything you need in one place.

I arrived at 8:58pm, 2 minutes before closing and the manager Stephane did not allow anyone in saying that this store closes 5 minutes beforehand.

A manager should be on the floor of the store right now organizing the checkout lines. I've been standing in the main line through the length of the store for an hour and twenty minutes and I'm still not there yet. Other checkout lines have opened up and instead of organizing the line to flow there, new lines were started. Waiting an hour to buy groceries could be avoided with a manager taking the lead.

this place after the pandemic becomes extremely bad, they don't like to refill the stocks, if some product (specially the 0.9cents products) end, they don't refill until the next day, this maxi is not for the people. Also the $1 chips are sold in $1.40 and this happen with many products. So far the Maxi in the Jewish area is the most honest, clean, with fresh products, always full of products. This Maxi is too much, I can't believe if this one is inside Saint Michel, this should be a Maxi for the people, instead we have to pay more and have bad quality compared with others.

I went to purchase a coffee grinder by black and Decker and they simply want to sell me an open box product that has been sitting on their shelf since the product came out. The fact is it is also used and when I asked about a potential open box price they simply refused and told me full price or they will find me one. Last 2 in the store and I went back a week later they still haven't cleaned the product. What a joke.

This is my go-to grocery store in Montreal. Despite the current issues with the pricing of produce and meats, Maxi definitely has the best deals that I've seen.

Great grocery store, I'm a regular there but they seem to struggle a lot with their cashiers. They're often slow with long lines, but I don't know what goes behind closed doors so I'm not sure why that is, but it's frequent.
