Little Paws Outdoor Classroom

If you are looking for your toddler to develop while being fully happy and fulfilled, this is the best you can offer them! And the teachers are lovely and very prepared. We simply love Little Paws Outdoor classroom ❤️

Our daughter started Little Paws program when she was about to be 2. It was her first preschool experience. She spent the full year outdoor (all 4 seasons) and she loved every minute of it.I’m always impressed to see how creative her teacher Maria is. Not only, the children discover nature but they also learn about tides, cycle of life, hibernation. The teachers organize craft activities, they paint, draw, make things out of wood sticks (such as airplanes, boats). Maria implemented a book club (that we loved). She even organized field trips! The children went to Science World, to the aquarium and to the maritime museum! Our girl had a lot of fun through the year and there is not a dull moment throughout the year in this program!All the teachers are very kind, caring and respectful. It’s a safe, peaceful and empowering environment for the kids.We also really appreciate the daily updates and photos. Knowing what they did during the day is not only reassuring but it also helps engaging meaningful conversations with our child.I cannot speak highly enough of this program. Rain or shine, Little Paws is awesome!

We love Little Paws and Teacher Maria! This is our two year old daughter’s first preschool experience and she’s excited to go each day. We have seen her confidence and self awareness grow in the few months that she’s been attending.

I feel very fortunate to have found Maria when my daughter was ready to start preschool. Her genuine love for children and consideration for parents are reflected in this amazing program. I appreciate the weekly plans, the daily updates, the field trips, and all the care that goes into making the days fun and educational for the children. My daughter loves going to preschool and has become so much more confident. I love that she gets to learn and play in nature with other kids, rain or shine. I feel good knowing that my daughter is learning in such a beautiful environment with amazing teachers. There is no one I trust more (besides family) to take care of my baby then Maria! I highly recommend this preschool!

Our son has been with Little Paws since it opened in 2021 when he was 3.5 years old. He has thrived in the outdoor setting and discovered a passion for wildlife.The instructors, Maria and Saige, are incredibly kind, patient and want the children to excel at their own pace. The program's communication is an incredible asset. We receive weekly lesson plans and daily updates and photos. Both teachers have been helpful in coaching our son to adapt to tricky good-byes at drop off, independence by taking care of his belongings, and listening to his body when running, climbing and jumping. We know he is very safe, learning a lot and having a fun day.I can't say enough good things but I will say, if you have any hesitancy about an outdoor program, I think you'd be very happy with Little Paws. The right outdoor gear and 4 hours of fresh air plus Stanley Park makes for an incredible learning environment.

Our little one wants to attend the school even during the weekends and doesn't want to miss a class! When we take her to the school she runs to hug the teachers. This should give an idea how much she loves going to the school and meeting all her friends and the amazing teachers Maria and Ana! The class takes place in the beautiful outdoors of Stanley Park in the heart of Vancouver and the kids learn to harmonize with each other as well as with mother nature! The teachers are true professionals in every aspect, super nice and they have a special bond with each and every child. Our child has grown tremendously with her social skills as well as verbal and non-verbal communication skills. I really can't say enough good things about Little Paws and the teachers! 5 stars!

I can't say enough good things about Little Paws, Maria, and the team of educators. Maria has been wonderful, patient, and incredibly consistent (never missed a day), encouraging imaginative play and a curiosity about nature that is awesome to see in kids.I have loved having our daughter come home and surprise me with knowledge about evergreen trees, rolly polly bugs, hibernating animals, and confidence in her own climbing and exploration. She made great friends and had great fun at Little Paws.I feel grateful to have found outdoor preschool and Maria when we did - our daughter was just about 2 years old and I was struggling to find childcare that felt like a good fit. Although I was worried she might be too young or find it too difficult to be out in all kinds of weather, Maria's competence and positivity soon eased my worries. Our daughter is now 3.5 and has grown into a talkative, silly, imaginative kid who loves being outside, exploring, and making up stories. I know Maria and Little Paws have helped her grow so much and we will miss the program dearly as we moved away from Vancouver.

My kid LOVE this school. I just moved to vancouver and my 2.5 yrs old son has never speak English before. At first i was worried whether he can fit in or not but he did ! After just a few months he understand conversational english now and can speak some sentences. His improvement in gross motor skill is incredible, i am so proud of him. And he acquired so many new friends too.Teacher Maria and Teacher Anna are those teachers that you would call genuine. They genuinely care and love all of the kids.Every morning my son would run to hug both teachers. He love school that much.Weather might be a parent concern but as long as you dress your kids properly, they would be okay. Tall rain boots and waterproof parka is a must. And bring spare clothings and socks in your kids backpack.I am so glad i found this outdoor school program. The experience my kid had here is so priceless.

My son loves Little Paws. On the days he attends classes, he beams with joy, making breakfast time a breeze for us.The teachers at Little Paws are incredibly patient and loving. They helped my son's transition from home to preschool go smoothly. It's hard to imagine how they manage with so many kids running around in the forest or on the beach. Then again, from the daily photos they share, it's clear that the children are having a lot of fun! ❤️Since attending Little Paws classes, our son has developed an even greater love for outdoor activities. He now eagerly joins us for hikes on weekends. I highly recommend Little Paws to any parents who want to raise their children closer to nature!

An amazing learning, play and socializing experience for our 4 year old, out in nature! Both respect for other creatures and good biology go alongside in this program. Fostering curiosity and discovery, creativity, arts and crafts with natural objects, and having a good time are all core. Maria and team are outstanding professionals in this field, and connect with children in a very respectful, caring and loving way. We truly recommend this Stanley Park program. And look forward to joining it again next year!
