I already have a couple of places I like to go to for roti or jerk food and I wasn't really looking for somewhere new to throw into the rotation but here we are. The plaza that Leela's is in does not look like much and it would be easy to miss if you don't know it's there. I ordered a chicken roti and a goat double and it was reasonably priced. I did have to wait longer than I expected but it was well worth it, and you can't rush quality. The roti was stuffed with chicken and veggies, and each bite was packed with flavour. The double was even better, I didn't want it to end. Next time I might go for one of each of their doubles just to compare and have a great meal. Half way through my meal I was beginning to feel full but I posted through and I almost wish there was more.

I decided to give this place a try for the first time and it was pretty good overall but I have had much better Jerk Chicken elsewhere. Also it was my first time trying doubles and it was a unique experience and I’m not really sure if I’m a fan yet. The Doubles wrap was really soft and enjoyable but the filling was only average but maybe it’s just not my type of thing. The price was reasonable so it was worth it to try something new and different. As for the Jerk Chicken it was ok too. It was boneless and had a different type of spice but was still enjoyable. The Rice and Peas were really good and the coleslaw and hot sauce added a nice touch as well. The price at around $15 for the Jerk Chicken Dinner was ok but the overall portion and amount of chicken was a bit small in comparison to other Jerk spots in the City. Overall I still did enjoy it and will list likely return one day to try something else and see how that goes. The place was clean and the service was friendly as well.

Food was alright but wasn't worth the price. The oxtail meal was $20 and came with very little oxtail.

I’m a little confused at the 4.2 rating and name “Lela’s” connected to the account. So I’m ignoring g the history (assuming another Caribbean restaurant was in the Sam spot previously), I’m giving it a 4.5/5 as a highly ranked West Indian spot in the GTA.This seemed like a husband/wife combo, both working and super present and happy that this was there business. The passion for food and service was apparent.I was going to get the curry, but switched to the jerk chicken roti last minute. It was a well balanced piece, with a perfect amount of potato to jerk chicken to flour based roti. I got an extra sauce/gravy on the side and kept dumping it on. It was moist as it was, I just like it extra.I’m looking forward to going back. Curry goat or oxtail is next up!I brought the special flyers they were handing out back to my office. If you are anywhere on the 401, it’s worth the stop. Get off on Victoria Park. Enjoy!

I love Wicked Carib's doubles. They have quickly become one of my most favourite meals in the city - after some awesome people at work introduced me to them. The channa/chickpea filling is done to perfection, super soft and very delicious. I also like how the spice levels are real levels. The first time, I went for high spice and it was A LOT. From then on, I have gone for medium spicy and that's still pretty spicy according to my South Asian standards. Highly recommend.

Today I felt like something different for lunch. My partner suggested Johnny’s burger or Harvey’s, and then I remember this strip mall next to Johnny’s has a lot of interesting restaurants. We picked Wicked Carib - Trinbago food!! Here we go!We arrived around 1pm and it was just the right time - not too busy.Looking at the menu there is Roti, Rice bowl and stew with different types of proteins - Chicken, Beef, Oxtail, Seafood. They also offer veggies. Price ranges roughly from $12-20 (the $20 item was the oxtail stew). The best value item for a weekday lunch is definitely the Chicken/Beef Roti for $10 (Drink wasn’t included). So we ordered that. While we were enjoying our food… lots of customers started coming in.I had the beef roti and it was good! Flavorful tender pieces of beef! And it had a bit of a kick too! Some people mentioned they loved this restaurant and wanted it to open late, but the boss was explaining how hard it is to hire these days.I can see the restaurant is well loved. And the atmosphere was nice. The place was overall clean. I’d say we made a right choice coming here today. We will try some other dishes next time.
