We are so thankful to EMA for all of the encouragement they have given our son. He has learned so much, not just about martial arts but also about character and perseverance. We have noticed such a positive change in his attitude and work ethic since starting at EMA and can’t say thank you enough for everything they have done. We are proud to be part of the EMA family!

A great place for everyone to learn martial arts. All of the leaders are amazing, positive and helpful, it is their mission to help everyone that comes to train with them be the best self they can be. I couldn't be more impressed.

Amazing instructors - all classes are taught only by black belts, which is awesome. There are multiple world champions that come from EMA and compete on national/international stages year round. There are many class time options for busy families. My son has been at EMA for just over four years now and he is a changed child. He has not just grown stronger and more flexible, physically, but he has gained so much confidence/focus/skill in other areas of his life; it is amazing to see his transformation. The life lessons/messages provided weekly in class on various topics allows for great conversations at home and has helped my son articulate questions and ideas which have helped keep him safe in various situations (bullies at school won’t even attempt to mess with him because he is assertive and confident using his words only!) Can’t say enough about this school. Highly recommended!

The team at the dojo is unique, as anyone attending this school can tell simply by looking at the instructors, all of whom were trained by Sensei Ashley and Sensei Gord, most since they were only a few years old. Putting their great skills aside, each one of them is a pleasant, respectful, gentle, and kind person and this could hardly be a coincidence.At EMA you can also expect to receive much needed mindset adjustments in the form of constant reminders of what you're doing and why you’re doing it. These along with the extracurricular activities, special workouts, sparing sessions, family events, and so much more help keep both kids and adults motivated, and create disciplined, self-confident martial artists who have the confidence to stand up for themselves.But make no mistake, this is no easy ride; hard work, sweat, and pushing past your limits are the name of the game at EMA because this is a black belt school!

Sensei Ashley, Gord, and their team have been a beautiful extension of our family in reinforcing things like focus, confidence, respect, and determination. We sleep better at night knowing that our son has wonderful mentors in the martial arts school as he's faced with challenges at middle school and with neighborhood friends. We've seen a huge increase in his confidence and feeling empowered to use his voice, and be a leader- at 7!As an adult, I joined to support my son and to be a role model when he asked me to join him. What I thought was going to be a casual thing to do, has turned into a wonderful accomplishment with setting personal goals month after month. My confidence and belief in myself is growing and I no longer worry about looking silly or not fitting in.At EMA, they create a safe, fun, growth mindset environment that everyone- kids and adults- can benefit from! Our son plays a lot of sports and has had a lot of teachers; Sensei Gord and Sensei Ashley are the best. When you join EMA you become part of the family! They meet you where you are. Very welcoming club, great programming and instruction. Lots of engagement events available outside of instruction too with camps, movie nights and demonstrations. Highly recommend.
