Dollarama

Terrible experience at checkout. Decided to see what this location had as it was one of the few open after work on a Sunday. Got to the cash, asked if I could cash out with the cashier who was standing there WITH TWO OTHER STAFF and was told they could help me on self checkout. I said I could do it myself I just did not want to use self checkout and was still directed to it. Then realized we forgot the bags in the car so I was left with my *VERY* obviously developmentally disabled aunt to watch the one cart while I started checking out items and the one self checkout cashier" tried to call her over to start cashing out the caregiver's cart full of items even after witnessing the caregiver specifically telling her to stay with me and not touch anything.As my frustration with being forced into self checkout and the entire situation grew

I met Ryan at the cash and he was extremely helpful and showed me how to use the self checkout! the machine didn't want to accept my $20 bill but he showed me the trick!

Staff here are horrible! Went to check out because I had a lot of items and got sent to the self checkout and they gave me one of the helpers (there where three staff at the front at the time)There was a problem with the other register with two younger couple and they asked for help from my guy instead of the two doing pretty much nothing (one was also the manger I find out). He starts calling me names, and then I turn to look at the staff he says “you get the gist of scanning right? I need to help them now”Excuse me? I asked for help first?So the other guy turns and yells to the other two and I’m standing there quietly being abused while THREE STAFF doing nothing!After the boy helping me “Dylan” goes to leave he snaps at me “there you go” before going to the next self scan where the screen was still unfixed (the other two staff did nothing to assist)I asked for his name because I wanted to leave a complaint and he goes why rudely. I told him I wasn’t happy with this experience and he just snaps “my manger is right behind you”I turn to tell her even though she witnessed the whole thing and did nothing and she said she’ll “do something about it”Went to the other dollarama beside fresh co to grab something that this one did not and I had a break down in there because of what happened but they were amazing over there. Even cashed me out at the actual til, and didn’t close it early like this store did.This store is not worth going to, go to the one beside fresh co.

Very poor customer service. Met Preet here who was super rude and was not helpful at all.

Had a very bad customer service encounter here. Met with a lady named Preet who not only changed her statement but also started talking rudely.

Most horrible customer service ever receivedI asked for help to locate something Three times that am not able to find something she said am doing something is there again and again I said can you please help she just said its there when I said but never helped to locate I said well even if it is there I cannot find so asking help she behave rude so I left the store without purchasing

I asked three different employees if they carried ornament hooks, all three of them had different answers and sent me on a wild goose chase. Not one of them offered to show me where they were, when I asked they said no they wouldn’t show me. Only to find out that no, they did not have them. Waste of time.

I went to this dollarama and the employee followed me around the entire store and even stood beside me at the self check out rather than helping the customers that were lining up. I was the only black person in the store at the time and I feel racially profiled.

Doing fraud here. The manager is fraud. I wish i could never came here. Disgusting people doing business in barrie. Worst place.
