I reached out to Chris for my son guitar lessons. He is an exceptionally talented musician and his teaching approach exceeded my expectations.

I took beginner piano lesson from Chris 3 years ago as a semi-retired adult looking for a new hobby. He has been a patient and inspiring teacher. At the beginning, he would make the lessons simple but interesting and challenging enough that an hour would go by very quickly. These days I would pick a piece of music, usually a classic pop song that I like to learn. He would guide me through it and show me alternative ways to play the same piece. He is very good in improving the song. He also encouraged me to play the song in different keys. He introduced me to music software like SessionBand and iReal Pro, which I can use to make backing tracks to practice at home. I also really appreciate his bright music studio with excellent sound quality where he would teach and record what we did during some of the lessons to provide me feedback. I would certainly recommend Chris to any adult students looking for a teacher to begin or advance their musical journey.

The Coles notes; Chris is a hidden gem in Milton. He’s very professional, knows his theory and his studio is very well equipped and the sound is amazing. If you plan on learning a new instrument, or are looking to further your development, this is the gentleman to see. You won’t be disappointed.

My 5 year old daughter started piano lessons with Chris in Sept 2019. I looked at several local studios in Milton prior to enrolling my daughter with Wilson Music. I found other studios loud, congested, provide inadequate parking and they offer younger and less experienced teachers to students. Chris has a very impressive music history. His home based studio provides a professional and spacious environment for his students. Chris has a unique and exceptional way of helping my daughter learn and love music at such a young age. I would highly recommend Wilson Music to any parent.

I have been taking piano lessons with Chris since February and I look forward to every lesson. As an adult learner, I appreciate Chris' approach: developing musicality. The focus is on making music and the lessons are interwoven while we play. I would highly recommend Chris to any adult looking to learn piano!

Chris was my piano teacher for over 5 years and in my time with him I have learned so much. He teaches in an engaging manner and goes above and beyond to help you learn. With his help I was able to complete my RCM piano exam levels 1-5 all with first class honours.Chris loves music and helps you to develop a love for learning music as well. Lessons are never boring with him and my weekly lessons were the most relaxing part of my week. He is an amazing teacher!

Chris is an exceptional, inspiring and talented teacher. He has taught my 3 children (son 13 and daughters 9 & 8) piano for the past year and a half and has recently started to teach my son guitar. Wilson Music home studio is bright and very professional. Chris is patient, engaging and uses various technics to keep my children motivated and loving music (i.e. playing along with the kids on his guitar, recording the children playing their songs on the keyboard, teaching them how to play along with a popular song from the radio and letting them play the drums to teach them how to keep the beat and have fun). Last year’s end of season recital was outstanding and included a professional drummer who played along with the children, a Jazz singer and Chris also performed a beautiful song. Such a special opportunity for the children -they loved it! Needless to say, Chris is not your standard music teacher. He has exceeded all my expectations and I highly recommend his studio.
