Dollarama

This was the bigger dollarama in Bay Robert's, they have great variety of products at a competitive price. Plus there is do much to choose from.

This is usually the Dollarama where I can get everything on my list but today was an exception. I didn't even find half of my list. The new self checkouts are the worst. I love the convenience of using them when I'm in a hurry and have a couple items but basically being forced to use them when you have a cart full is just wrong and it increased the line length and wait time.

Place is always way too busy now expected to use self check out with $100 or more of things. Takes at least 2 hours to go there. Only ever 1 cash register opened. Line up always wraps around the entire store. Not to mention there is absolutely no social distancing in place I have to shop here with people litterally hovering over me.

Poor customer service lines right to the back but cashiers leave to take their break without having someone to cover them. Also if lines are so long how come only 2 out of 5 cashes are open. I saw at least 5 people leave without their purchases. Better managers are needed!

the customer service is very lacking and falling in the last few years. today we dropped in to get a few snacks and yall only had one person on check out. a trainee who I pitied with all my soul tbh bc he was doing such a good job staying calm and collected with a long line and literally no one to help him.took a manager 8 ish minutes to come help him and when she was done refunding the customer she didnt even apologize to her she just left the poor trainee to the wolves again and dissapeared for the entire time we were there. took us 20 minutes to get served and we refused to use a self serve check out as out bill has some rips and gets rejected by the machine.how can you think leaving one trainee alone by himself who honestly dont even look 18+ he is 15-16 at oldest imo i could be wrong- is a good idea?he did such a good job staying calm and friendly and I hope you tell him how good a job he does and appreciate him bc that kinda neglect is why young people dont wanna work these days" as boomers put it. in a world where kids can make hundreds of dollars opening toys and reviewing them on youtube ya think youd appreciate new hires more lolrant over."

I understand a progressive switch to self-serve but these guys take the cake and pretty well refuse to serve you at a cash it's all done by self serve which doesn't work most the time , fairly rude staff and not the best of dollaramas by any means.. if you can get it elsewhere you should !

Unexpected item in bagging area.this is not theft deterance, its arhaic inconvience to both customer and staff.

They have a large variety but things come and go so fast that you might be looking for something they had a few weeks before and its no longer there. Other than that its a great store with friendly workers
