I was a bit nervous when I was chosen as a Korean teacher because I did not have any teaching experience. However, the course coordinator was so supportive. She sent me all the necessary resources, including some text books and some good teaching tips. Finally, I was able to choose a book for my student and set a good teaching plan. Of course, my student seems satisfied with my teaching since I started teaching two months ago. I strongly recommend Listen & Learn.

Listen and Learn was a great experience. They have a variety of languages that they offer to teach and you get paired with a teacher who is a native speaker of that language. That is a super unique and beneficial factor because you learn the language how it is truly spoken and can also learn about the culture behind it. Everyone from the organization who supported me during my time taking a course through Listen & Learn was amazing. They were always available to answer my questions and kept in contact to see how I was enjoying the course and if I needed any of the arrangements to be changed.I chose to learn Hindi and my teacher was Dr. Neha Gutkar. She was a wonderful teacher. Very flexible with scheduling, so I could have classes around my work schedule, and very welcoming and hospitable. She taught me about the culture within different areas of India, which deepened my understanding of the language and added to my experience learning the language. She really cared about me as a student and a person and that kept me encouraged and held me accountable in my studying.To anyone hoping to learn a language, I would highly recommend Listen & Learn. I’d also just encourage you to really be committed. Practice the language whenever you can, study and do your homework if you’re given any, and don’t get discouraged, you will get a hang of the language in time!

I have been taking Korean lessons in Calgary and my instructor - Kay - has been so wonderful. I am very determined to learn Korean and Kay has been so patient and helped me improve so much so fast! I have now taken 2 courses with Listen and Learn and have always been blown away by the quality of teachers that they are able to provide. Would absolutely recommend.
