Highgate Residence of Ancaster

I'm not sure why there are not more amazing reviews here. The place is immaculate! The staff, very friendly and responsive. This is a privately owned and personally well managed retirement and nursing home with attention to detail. Food is more than decent (according to my Dad who is a bit of a picky eater) with lots of choice and variety of menu. Checking in all the time, effective communications, clear disclosures during the sales process...Excellent.

Some really great staff. As for the ownership, for almost 70,000$/yr, the residents should be able to get high speed internet, HD TV and sportsnet.

My mom is loving her time here! She loves the younger staff always talking about a Maeve and Sasha! Keeps her young!

My father was a resident at Highgate Residence for three years before passing away in his 92nd year last week. He loved Highgate. He appreciated the cleanliness of the facility, the grounds and beautiful court yard, and the well prepared food. Most of all he appreciated Highgate's personnel; from the kitchen staff, to the housekeeping staff, to the front desk, to the nurses, to the administration, and especially his beloved Daisy (Highgate's therapy dog). He loved and appreciated all. Highgate is the model for what a retirement home should be with the most caring and compassionate environment. The owner and a senior administrator even took the time to visit my father at the hospital on his final day, an act which was certainly not expected but was most appreciated.

Amazing staff, and experience so friendly and easy to approach!

Highgate Residence offers wonderful service right from the Owner and his family to the cleaning staff. Everyone is very friendly and the care they offer is outstanding. The food is fantastic, the rooms are clean that the total facility is bright and up to date. Our family experience with the PSW's and Nurses was above our expectations. They truly take an interest in everyone that lives there. Highgate also has a Memory care wing and that is where our Mom lived this year. Again our family was so happy with the service that was provided and we always knew that our Mom was safe and taken care of. If your family is looking for a retirement home or Memory care, we highly recommend that your family meet the team at Highgate Residence.

very clean place, but need to be a bit more organized. A few of the staff are nice and welcoming the owner seems like a nice person.The residents are lovely . i miss them
