Viva Villa Cottages

Loved the cottage and the property, lots to do and see. The lake is so beautiful, the swimming was terrific. The Fawn cottage, a spacious 3 bedroom was perfect for our needs and the kitchen was very well stocked. The owners, Kate and Scott Lebrun were awesome!! Can't wait to go back next summer!

This is a great spot to stay on Manitoulin Island. It's right on Lake Kagawong, which has some amazing sunsets.The communal fire pit overlooks the lake to the west so it's great for sunsets. The cabins include canoes and kayaks (with option to rent motorboats), so you can get on to the lake very quickly and easily. I liked that you didn't need to go through a whole check-out" process to take out the non-motored boats. It felt very chill and casual

Had a very great time! The fawn cabin, the beautiful view and property were beautiful and so pretty great people who run it! Not only did they supply the cutlery and dishes they also had propane ready for my mom's fantastic burgers! Fantastic place would definitely rate more then 5 stars If I could, definitely recommend this place!!

Beautiful setting. Quiet. Great night skies! Great hiking trails close by. Cottages well stocked with everything required for a fun cottage experience. Lots of things available to do....bikes, rowboats, kayaks, paddleboats, canoes, ladderball, badminton and volleyball, horseshoes....bonfires and the beaches. Owners are very friendly and accommodating, without being in your face". And....pets welcome! I'll be back!"

This was our first time to Manitoulin Island and to Viva Villa. We were not disappointed. From the moment we arrived we were blown away by the beauty of this place.The cottages are charmingly rustic but well equipped with everything you need. It was very cozy especially with the wood burning stove warming us up on a chilly evening. They also are centrally located to several of the islands attractions as well as a couple of towns where you can stock up on everything you need and don’t have to take too much time out of relaxing to do it.There are also plenty of things to do and we found ourselves wanting to stick around the cottage quite a bit. Even our young child was quite entertained with the variety of amenities on the property. He didn’t want to leave at the end of the week. None of us wanted to.I highly recommend renting a boat during your stay. We were very happy we did for the week we were there. It was the best way to enjoy the crystal clear waters of Lake Kagawong and get in some incredible fishing too. The option to take the boat on the short ride up the river and pick up a pizza was a novelty in itself.Our incredible hosts, Kate and Scott were very responsive and helpful from the moment we reached out to book our stay and kept us up to date with any information we needed before arrival. Everything was ready when we arrived and they were easily accessible all week if we needed anything. They also shared their knowledge of the island and helped us make choices to get the most out of our trip.It’s obvious that Kate and Scott take pride in what they do and really care about their guests. It was great to sit around the communal fire with them and chat in the evenings. Within the first couple of days we had already decided that we are definitely going back next year.Thanks to Kate and Scott for our new found family tradition. It is greatly appreciated.

This is our second year going to the Viva Villa and we will continue to come for as long as we are able. So central to the island only a short drive to most places. Amazing sunsets ,clean water , dog friendly so many pluses. We will most definitely be back next year

This is a great place to stay. Clean and cozy. Beautiful scenery. We absolutely recommend. They have playground, volleyball net, horseshoe throw and community campfire. Great place for fishing. Access to boat, canoes, kayaks and paddle boats. Life jackets were provided. Love love loved our stay.

We have been to Viva Villa Cottages for 3 consecutive years. The owners of the cottage, during our third trip in the summer of 2022, left us with a very bad taste of this place. An incident at the end of our trip brought an unexpected aggressive and unprofessional side of the owners. We have very fond memories of this place, unfortunately, the owners’ handling of the incident now overshadows them all. We no longer boast to our friends and family about our exciting trips to this place.

I love this place, I like to visit at least twice a season. The hosts are incredibly friendly and they make the place feel very comfortable. For some reason the mosquitoes don't seem to bug me here. The little beach and swimming area is nice. The boats and extra amenities are beautiful. If you are considering staying here, do it!
