1 Fish 2 Fish

Very new to this hobby, getting my 9yo her first setup. We have been in 3 times, once for the tank and supplies, then twice for fish. Dealt with a different person each visit and I must say, they have all been fantastic.(sorry I did not get any names) Knowledgeable, helpful and very patient. They gave advise, experiences, and never once pushed something on myself or my daughter. If anything the steered us away from items we didn't need. Will certainly be returning for our future needs. To top off a few great experiences, I was able to explain to my daughter the importance of supporting small local businesses. Keep up the great work.

This place has great quality items, super friendly and nice staff! They were very understanding and helpful when I didn’t know a lot about an item.

The guy that helped us was very nice and helped us with getting the food and plants and getting the type of fish we wanted. Although it is our first time getting fishes, and we chose to get guppies, we asked what is the best ratio of male to female and we specifically asked for 2 females and 1 male and we came home and followed all the proper directions, but over night one female fish died even thoughtwe followed every direction. Now that we did our research we realized that the survived fishes are male even tho we asked for the 2 females.I called the store and brought this up and the guy basically asked me questions to find a way to blame me for the dead fish so he didnt have to answer my questions. And he also said there is no return policy on fish when I said I wanted and bought 2 females.Is there really nothing you can do if the gender we bought was different from what we got??? It is quite frustrating specially after how the I dont care attitute of the gentleman on the phone.

All in all, it’s an okay shop. Not great, but not terrible.Pros: Decent selection. Friendly enough staff. Big footprint. The prices on most things are pretty good. They’ve outlasted most other LFS’s, so that’s a huge positive!Cons: Their return policy is not great, so be sure to consider that beforehand, and inventory on their website is usually not accurate either.However, I’ve chatted with most of the staff and they seem genuinely terrified of the owner. I’ve never met them, so I can’t confirm, but it does explain the general vibe of the store.

I went twice last year. The seller, a White male, with gray hair, disrespected me, treated me like I was not worthy and denied my service. I was only going to buy some fish. I was not ready for the race attacks and his dislike of Asian Males. I will not go to this store ever. Ok, the owner messaged that new employees were in place and I will check the store and update my experience soon.

Had a great visit. It's nice for a newbie like me to talk to some one not only knowledgeable in fish and plants, but also patient enough to answer questions. Thanks so much. It's a bit of a drive from PEI, but I'll be back.

This has been my go to store for a long time now mostly because of the love they have for the hobby. They have always been very helpful and knowledgeable. My 8 year old son who has autism is in the low end of the spectrum and very high functioning it combined with add/adhd can be overwhelming when he’s in a situation that really interests him. He becomes an expert in that thing. After watching me and my love for the hobby he got his own tank in December and got his fist fish a red tailed shark there. A month ago we set up another one and yesterday we visited 1fish 2 fish in which the employees were very helpful and patient with my son !! However after asking 2 different employees 1.2 billion questions he found another employee named Jake , Jake was sooooooooo full of knowledge but what was different was able to figure out carters live of the hobby and he was soo encouraging and the three of us could have talked forever. I had bought a 120gal last year and back out of settling up my first salt tank out of fear I wouldn’t be able to be successful and He asked me questions and determined my skill level and helped me to get past my fear ! I know now what setup works for me and that it doesn’t have to be so elaborate and complicated! Jake thank you for yesterday’s experience it was exactly what we needed! My son named his fish after you!! Lol he’s educating himself now so he can talk more with u next time! U gave him some cool things to look up that he never knew! THANK UI’m setting up my salt tank this week!!!

Was talking to a young lady about getting particular fish I was looking for. Was informed they were in stocks but was not informed they were in quarantine. I drove 2 hrs to the store to buy a group of them, only to be informed upon arriving at the store that they were in quarantine and not for sale.Will not be returning to the store after wasting 4hrs of time plus gas.

Nice store, well stocked. Courteous and knowledgeable staff. Stopped with my wife hoping for a chance to see a fish you tuber she watches named Joey, but he wasn't in. Since traveling back to Ohio, I couldn't buy any fish, but they had a nice selection of fresh and salt water fish. If you are new to getting fish, I recommend coming here because they will be able to tell you all you need to do to prepare to add fish to your home.

Great shop, I bought a tank from there ,when I got home noticed a cracked in the tank, took it back and they order me another, had to wait ,lost a fish while waiting, but happy with the tank
