Honestly, I do not usually submit a google review, but everyone should be aware of how unprofessional and incompetent this company is. If I could give 0 stars I would have! I paid around 280$ for digital downloadable pictures which they charge a delivery fee on top of that too. Delivery for what? They made all the copies available online for download so why charge me for shipping and handling? Not only that, they do not even notify you when the pictures are available. Their website is horrible, I am a software engineer and their site is a mess and hard for end users to navigate. I contacted them later down the line and they wanted to charge me extra for me to re-download my grad pictures. They charge a friend a lower price and charged me a higher price and when I confronted them about it they mentioned it is hard to get my grad pictures from their achieve, but I graduated the same year as my friend which proves they are money hungry thieves that do not care about their service or quality. The support is horrible takes weeks for them to get back to you. I have been requesting for a phone number and nothing was given as well as proof as they mentioned they always send a notification once the photos will be pulled down for achieve. I been asking the same question in 3 separate emails and my inquiry was disregarded all three times. I do not understand why a prestigious university like McGill hired an amateur company like SPEQ Photo. I will be writing a formal complaint letter to McGill to get them removed from convocations completely.

Have not good service, I had received the items for my kids and one of them is damaged than I called them, so they don't want to change it ! So i don't order from them in the future any more. :-)

I got my son's pictures and his hair was a flamboyant orange even though he's blonde....They told me to email a recent picture of him to prove that his hair isn't red....2 weeks later I call for news and they say they never got the email. They refuse to give me my money back even though I can't possibly use those pictures. It was my first time dealing with this company. If they get the school contract again next year, I'll go elsewhere.

Maitre de l'arnaque serait plus approprié comme slogan. I am echoing other people's reviews in saying you get the poorest service for the highest price. The website shows you photos in ultra poor resolution with tons of watermarks you can barely discern your facial features. Of course then you have to pay a ridiculous price for the photos which takes forever to get delivered. Oh and don't forget to add service fee" to the final price in cart

Brutal. So disappointed with my daughters grad photos. The lighting is awful. It looks like she has balloon highlights on her forehead, nose and cheeks. My daughter says the experience was so quick and impersonal. No mirror to check before. Photo's were scheduled for 8:30am after a holiday weekend. No option to have hair/makeup. Website for ordering is also inadequate. Very difficult to see the photos. Poor quality. My sons school used a different photo studio and the experience there was outstanding compared to Speq Photo. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Made us pay around 300$ for digital downloadable copies of my grad photos. Not even printed photos sent to us by mail. 300$ only for downloadable photos without even informing us. Don't sped your money on them.

McGill University had us take formal graduation pictures with another company (Lassman Studios), and they were professional and took nice pictures. However, McGill made the horrible mistake of hiring these talentless photographers from SPEQ to do our convocation ceremony photos. First of all, we were told that we would be able to view the pictures online 48 hours after the ceremony. My ceremony happened 2 weeks ago, and I only got the email today that my pictures were ready to be viewed. That leads to my second issue with them. You cannot actually view the photos from their eStore!!! They're tiny little pictures with huge watermarks, so you have no clue if the pictures are even good or not until you pay and have them delivered to you! And the only one that is kind of viewable is a horribly taken picture. On top of that, their website is unusable. Furthermore, they're trying to charge me $180 for digital copies of 7 pictures that I can't preview!!! I got a video and hundreds of pictures of me skydiving in Australia for less money!!!! This company is completely idiotic. Charging astronomically high prices for supremely low service and quality. And not sure if they were the ones videotaping the ceremony as well, but if so, you idiots missed recording ¼ of the graduates walking into the ceremony, nice job. I advise everyone who goes to McGill to send complaint emails to McGill to have SPEQ removed as the official convocation photographer. Thanks for ruining my university graduation ceremony pictures, SPEQ. I hope you go out of business.

I suspect that any review with greater than 2 stars is not from a human being that has actually used their services. Terrible poses. Possibly the worst website I've ever used. One of the two poses was usable enough for a print but I couldn't find any guarantee of how the photo would be cropped (roughly 2:3 original cropping to 4:5 makes a big difference if it's centered, from the top, the bottom, or somewhere in between) . We opted for digital downloads so I could do the cropping myself then send out for professional printing since it's fast, inexpensive, and excellent quality at everyone's favourite warehouse store. We had to follow up with SPEQ a month later to ask where the file was. Was it going to arrive on a CD in the mail? Why charge a $4.29 handling fee for something that is effectively *NO WORK* for them? Glad this is the last year I have to deal with this company.

My children School made the bad decision to try these talentless photographers to take the School pictures this year. Terrible quality school pictures (at least the cheap envelope we got).I had asked for a retake, and the response I got almost 1 month after I called them asking for the retake, is that they only have 1 day for a retake during the week (Friday from 1:00 P.M to 4:30 P.M) because the office closes at 5 P.M. So, parents will have to miss work and children school because the school pictures they took are NOT professional?. When I pointed out about the pictures being so messy, the response I got is that the School is responsible for that and NOT the photographer; are you guys for real? so the photographer doesn't have eyes to see the kids being messy? The customer service agents, who BTW do not speak English and which is the worst do NOT even try, told me I had to pay $25 for each child for the retake!. Really unacceptable!!! I have been dealing with Green Apple for years and never experienced anything close to this. Speq Photo has a lot to learn. UNPROFESSIONAL in ALL aspects, yes with CAPS!

One year my son had blood around his lips in the photo from a cut on his lips. When I was a kid, professional photographers would take the photos because children didn't all have their own cameras with a million pictures of themselves and their friends. Film was expensive and our parents didn't take very many photos. School photos were an event, but nowadays I think we are just buying these photos out of habit. The company must make an insane profit with these low digital photo prices. It's like as if they think we are still using film and professional photographers. The price should be lower to accommodate the fact that their profit is way too high. It must be nice to have an inferior product and have every person buy it anyway just......because.
