Sadly my review is negative. I went 4 times before commenting. The food is sub par and overpriced. I used to love Mexis when it was uptown... this new spot is NOTHING like what I remember. The service could bridge a gap but it too is below average. I will not be back and share my experiences with anyone that asks. I don't see it lasting in the Valley, Vito's has much better food and service.

Not so impressed by the foods, it’s okay type. However, staffs behaviour is cordial, but they need to be more attentive in taking orders.

We read the reviews before coming in thinking people are way too hard on mexis with their poor reviews. We have been wanting to go here for a few months so we were pretty excited.We ordered chicken nachos and margaritas.The chicken nachos were awful, and I was really hoping they would be good. It was a single layer of corn chips… maybe 15 pieces in total ? The dish cost $23.. they had the fake bacon bits on them (think out of a shaker or plastic bag). The chicken was also precooked.. again like out of a plastic bag with zero seasoning. The only vegetable on them were green onions… they were the worst nachos we have ever had. A 5 year old could have made better nachos.. it was so disappointing that it was hilarious. We couldn’t even finish them, they were so dry. We won’t be back, sadly. A margarita each and a plate of nachos came to $60. awful. We asked for the bill and the two waitresses including the floor manager were just talking at the register instead of bringing us the bill so we could leave. We got tired of waiting and put our jackets on which is what cued her to finally bring the bill.

We have been here for over a decade and never been into Mexis. We were excited for some yummy Mexican food for Cinco De Mayo. We are a family of mostly vegetarian, but with Mexican, as long as the flavor is there beans and gaucamole can go a long way. The staff when we entered (and through out the whole adventure) we’re friendly and seemed to like their jobs. The atmosphere was inviting. The art on the wall is so fun. The menu was very accomadating for vegetarians. That excited us. We ordered a double margarita each. I ordered the loaded fries with veggie chili instead of meat. My partner ordered the veggie chili. For an app we got the fried avocado. They were delicious. The margaritas were premix…I couldn’t taste triple sec or tequila and it was too sweet. The loaded fries comes with queso sauce, but I didn’t see or taste any on mine (even questioned the waitress) and the meal seemed a little bland. My partners vegetarian chili tasted like tomato paste with no flavor really. Made us kind of sad. So much potential…just some herbs and spices could fix it. The shining light for us was dessert and it didn’t disappoint. Fried ice cream and churros for the win!

Restaurant was quiet when we went in s a table of 4 and then filled up. Food was excellent and fresh. Margarita was ok seemed to use a premix wish it was made from scratch. Waitress was good but her attention was on the bigger tables on either side of us. Tried the enchiladas for the first time and would definitely get them again. Chimichangas are my usual go to.

Food was good, service was good except I was there with my young son and I asked if there was a lunch version of the quesadilla which the server replied no so I had to order my son the full dinner version. Turns out they have a kids menu with a quesadilla for less than half the price. Not impressed.

Great place to go with friends and family. Lots of great authentic Mexican food options on the menu as well as some other options like burgers.Hostess and server were very polite and knowledgeable on the menu.Food was very tasty (I had a burrito bowl) and good sized portions.Definitely would recommend this place for anyone looking for great Mexican food.

This is the third time my husband and I have visited Mexis. This restaurant is right on my doorstep, so should be a no brainer to go to for dinner.Each time we have been, the service has been extremely slow. Tonight over an hour and a half for just entrees. When the food arrived it was cold.I left the restaurant extremely disappointed AGAIN! My husband wanted to speak to the manager who had already left. The bar man apologized and that was that.Do not recommend for any occasion.
