Attended a progressive metal show. The place itself is great for shows, a little less for going out for drinks.Show was amazing. I had my hands on / close to the stage for the entire show. The place makes it possible to have a connection with the band playing.Beer is not that expensive.There's a coat check.If you don't want to be too close to the stage, there's also a second floor with a balcony view.

DO NOT COME HERE. Coat check lost my friends coat which forced us to stay until after close. While waiting for him to give his contact information to the club, the rest of our party waited outside. In a split second a large bouncer tossed another man out of the doors and down the stairs. He came into contact with my 5 foot 2, tiny friend who fell all the way down the stairs and slid through the ice and snow. If she hit her head she could have died. Luckily she only hit her elbow, which is now fractured and needs surgery. The 5 bouncers who were standing outside didn’t even care or acknowledge that she was hurt. Looking back we should have called the police because this was assault and that bouncer should be charged.

When I visit this venue for a live show on the first floor I have a good time. Its intimate but can fit loud af bands in there. The barmaids take their time, but are sweethearts and appreciate a smile. Bathrooms are good, never disgusting. Getting in and out of the place is a hassle, as well as the merch tables being a tight squeeze. The last time I was there 3 separate people spilled their beers on me accidentally (one drunk girl spilled a whole glass on the floor and two others slipped) and ruined the dance floor. But hey that's the cafe campus life.

We were having a good time until the end when coat check lost one of our coats (never did find it) Then the bouncers tossed some guy down the stairs and he landed on my friend who’s 5’2” and 100lbs if that. She now can’t extend her arm and will have to go to the hospital to check if her elbow is fractured. DONT GO TO THIS PLACE. They saw what they did, she was on the floor in pain and they didn’t even ask if she was ok. These bouncers are aggressive and on power trips. Worst night ever. To be honest we should have called the police because this was assault.** Update. My friend had to have surgery. Pins in her arm and a lifetime of issues. This club has been notified and they have completely denied any such thing happened. Her family is currently seeking advice on how to proceed. PLEASE do not go to this club. Their bouncers are in the business of committing assault and it’s just a matter of time before something even worse happens.

If I could give 0 stars I would. DO NOT GO HERE, STAFF IS AGGRESSIVE AND INCOMPETENT. After coat check lost one of my friends $250 jacket, they kept us there way after close. They kicked the rest of us out while they continued to speak with him about the lost jacket, forcing us to wait by the door for him. The bouncer was escorting another person (who from what I understood also had his jacket lost by coat check) out of the club, who seemed perfectly compliant when walking down. Upon reaching the door the bouncer shoved him out and down a flight of stairs. However, the grown man was shoved into another one of my friends (who is literally 5 feet tall), causing them both to fly down the steps and right into the ice and concrete, the man landing on my friend. She has since found out that her arm is broken and may need surgery. The bouncer showed no concern for the girl he injured, and staff refused to give us his name. Furthermore, staff began getting aggressive with us for trying to get to our uber and away from these sick and aggressive people.

DO NOT GO THERE. Bouncers are aggressive. Even though we had tickets and stamps, my friend was refused re-entry after going out for a cig. I tried to convince them as calm as possible and they really tried to fight me. There really are better clubs to go to in Montreal, with better music, better atmosphere, and most importantly more respectful staff..

Nice venue! The staff was friendly! Only reason why I'm not giving 5 stars is because of the huge staircase to reach the venue, it's not the best when you have heavy things to bring upstairs or if accessibility is an issue. Other than that, we had a fun time!
