I had nice hopes to try this place finally! I stopped in some weeks ago as a reminder to myself and grabbed a take out menu to head back when I was next in Vernon.Well on May 1st I tried and was not too impressed. It all went through me quick so maybe they are using and not disclosing/or using too much MSG above the standards? Not sure but it was a quick trip to the washroom at my hotel right after eating a take out order. Sorry on too much info but true!Pricey too, quite a bit over other places!No napkins!No fork(s)No chopsticksNo fortune cookieNothing in bag, not even any sauce!No thanks either, just an in and out quick scene and was way fast getting the order!!!Will NOT be venturing back sorry to report! I am not evil to give this place a 1 star though! It should really be though to report to anyone reading this review. ):

Great restaurant, food was great too.Servers were so awesome, after we ordered food my stomach started to feel woozy and asked to change order to wonton soup instead. even after my food was probably cooked she said no problem no hassle, then was so nice to bring me a complimentary ginger ale for my tummy! Now that's service n compassion. Great restaurant with equally beautiful servers n service. Merry Christmas gals

Loved having dinner here. Great food! Great service! Ordered the Dinner for Five. Served by the adorable robot Bella which was so novel. Awesome time.

While visiting Vernon we tried this place. The service and waitress (Katelyn) was awesome. The food portions sizes and Shirley Temple where fantastic. The little robot “waiter” was an awesome touch for my 7 year old. Thanks for the experience.

Royal Garden is my 104th eatery in Vernon on my quest to eat at every eatery in Vernon.I have never dined in at Royal Garden before. I had ordered delivery on my birthday in July 2020.It was memorable because Skip delivered it to the wrong address, gave me my refund, and then I reordered my food. Two hours later the people living at the wrong address brought over my food. So I had two orders for the price of one on my birthday.It was great to dine in. I completely forgot about the robot waitress who brings out food for large groups. Unfortunately I was alone so a regular human being brought out my food. I wanted the robot to bring me my food.I bought a big bowl of veggie chop suey and one spring roll for $17 and $4 respectively. The waitress asked if I wanted chopsticks and hot sauce. Given I travel to Asia for three or more months per year, I said yes to both.The veggie chop suey is a big portion. It tasted healthier than most chop sueys. The bits at the bottom were a bit mushy but that's okay. It balanced out the big pieces of green pepper.I should note this restaurant is locally owned and operated despite being in the Anderson Way plaza where most eateries here are chains. The owners are descendants from those who worked on the railroad.After tax and a 15 percent tip I paid $24.15 for a full bowl of veggie chop suey, a spring roll, and a pitcher of water.This, Jade's Asian Kitchen, and Asian Avenue are my three favourite Chinese restaurants in town.104 eateries complete!

Royal Garden Restaurant
This is our favorite Chinese food in town. The sweet and sour and wonton soup is awesome! Everything is fresh and the food isn't greasy. I love the chop suey and the beef and broc, the veg is always crisp and fresh. The service is excellent! The pricing is the best we've found. Highly recommend.

Good table service. Food quality was exceptional. Fresh and hot. I hadn't been here until today but based on this I will be back!
