When it comes to my pets, the BEST care is with Dr Good. The staff are friendly and caring. Dr Good takes time to talk with you and explain the reasons behind certain treatments for your pet. Affordable. Super nice person to talk with and very patient with my anxiety when bringing in my pets. Great staff.

I’ve had a couple good techs and normal vet experiences here. Mostly charged unreasonably ridiculous rates and treated poorly by staff. This morning was charged $130 for a culture and sensitivity swab that I obtained myself! No exam or treatment needed! They’ve done things to my animals and charged me for them without letting me know and I’ve had techs talk rudely to me without introducing themselves. It should be called algoma veterinary “business”, not clinicOnce they wanted to do a uroscopy (a camera up the urethra) on my 5 month old kitten for a simple uti because they were failing to obtain a urine sample. Talk about over invasive so they could attempt to perform a costly procedureOpen to recommendations for a new local veterinary program

I recently moved into the area and I am so happy to have Algoma Veterinary Clinic as my vet clinic. The administrative assistants, the vet techs and veterinarians are such kind and compassionate people. I recently lost my 14 year old kitty and Dr. Lazier was incredibly helpful and generous with her time and although I lost him due to aggressive cancer, everybody treated me and my cat with care, concern and gentleness. I have had other minor issues and surgeries with my dogs, and the doctors have been wonderful and have done great work. They truly care about their clients and the animals they treat.

We recently had to out our little Cuddles to sleep. The staff at the Algoma veterinary clinic in Desbarats were awesome. Thank you Dr Shand. I'd also like to thank the assistant who was there with us and spoke so softly and lovingly to our little Cuddles during her final moments. She even let me hug her when everything was over. I want you to know how much that gesture meant to me. Thank you a million times over.

Dr Shand and the techs could not have been better during a time which they were extremely busy and our pup need their help. Thanks to the team here, our pup is now feeling great. Will always be thankful for the services they provided us with!

I am new to the area and had hooked up with Algoma Vet Clinic prior to moving here so I could have a vet in place for after the move. Came in 5 minutes after closing. Office staff member sitting in her truck ready to leave but took of her personal time to get my girlies food. So appreciate her & the kindness she showed.
