Trius Taxi

My driver with initials J.P. Was looking down at his phone every few seconds the entire 20min taxi ride. This included on the bridge, merging onto and while on 90km highways and round abouts. The drive was nerve wracking and unsafe.

Got an awesome flat rate to the airport once from Fredericton.Then my partner got the same exact ride 30 minutes later and didn’t get the flat rate (so it cost an extra $20).Called and complained, and they gave us the money back. I’m grateful for that and that is why they get (2) stars.Fast forward to today, a month later, and I get a cab to the airport. I ask about the flat rate and the guy acts confused and says it doesn’t exist.Now maybe they got rid of it, or maybe these cab drivers are trying to make a buck, or maybe they’re poorly trained.Either way, I’m done with Trius.

Ride arrived a little early. Ordered for 730am. I got a text that the car was out front around 720am.Very pricey though. Glad it was a one off, or I am just behind with the pricing of taxi fares. Meter ran, and iIt came to $30 with a tip for about a 13 minute ride.And I was at work in plenty of time. Friendly driver. Overall a good experience.

Always helpful, quick, and nice for a conversation. Driver brought me to the vet for my rats appointments, he was very nice.

Trius Taxi have been very good for me, the only time you have to wait a bit is when all taxi companies are very busy. I even had 1 taxi drive me around the whole day and the driver knew where he was going and was very courteous. Trius is now my default ride, Thank you Trius.

Cab reeked of smoke, it cost me 16 dollars to go 4.5km(not sure if they can change the tan rate for busier parts of the day but it’s normally the same price to go to my work which is over double that distance), cab cut off 2 cars one of which he ran a light and almost got hit. The car has a tap machine but you can’t pay with you phone or tap.

It might be just a bad apple from the bunch but the most recent ride I had with trius I did not enjoy. The driver kind of irked me. Any other time though I've had delightful drivers and it's nice to see they have the taxi tracker system too to save me from standing out in the cold wondering when the taxi will come. The dispatcher is responsive and even if I didn't have the tracker he gave a good time frame when the taxi should be there.

I don't recommend to use Trius. The story is below:I ordered a taxi from uptown to airport on June 2nd. I admit we have many luggages (however, it's me who lifted most of those, because the driver is too fat to move any). I was ok with that. However, when it arrived at the airport, he charged me $60 which is as double as the normal rate (~$30). I asked him why. he told me because it took 10min to load the luggage and it's too many. I called the connecting service, that guy (who always sounds like sleepy) told me you didn't ask the price". wow. I was shocked.I will never use them again in Fredericton and I hope the economy there can still boost without them."

Got a cab from Fredericton for 32km with one stop to drop off my friend and it was $98.41, that's over $3 a km, I have no idea why so much but I won't be using this company again. There is definitely cheaper options out there.

Took an additional route so he could charge me ! 4 minutes ride turned into 15 ride!
