Warm, welcoming & friendly atmosphere. My kids love going to this library

Smaller library but lots of play station for younger kids. Love the free parking and the staff is super nice. Highly recommend it.

Very comfortable library, the remodeling they've done is very appealing. Have study spaces, children's spaces, and other seating. There's also a range of computers for you to use, two sets of washrooms. There is a printer/fax machine, an automated checkout and a lot of selection for a small a place as this. There is also an app called Hoopla in which you can use your library credentials to engage in e-content (like ebooks, rent videos online etc.) Overall this place is a very peaceful, comfortable, and quiet library for the community

The noisiet library I have ever been to. If you are trying to study, I would recommend avoiding this establishment. Staff members do not regularly enforce noise level policies. Parents, please take your children to the YMCA to run around and scream, not the library. Thank you for being so considerate of everyone in the establishment...

I am a new resident in Barrie ,visiting this library at least fortnightly,found it very neat and clean, staff is humble and courteous but unfortunately it’s a noisy place, can’t concentrate on reading due to loud talking and laughing etc.In my humble opinion it’s the responsibility of staff to maintain silence and educate other people too.If a person comes to the counter and speaks in a louder tone but staff responds in a very low tone , the message will automatically be conveyed.Later I came to know about silence rooms too, now I use them without any disturbance .I am sorry for complaining about noise.Best regards

Fantastic place great staff always smiling kim is fantastic my kids love her. She is always kind and goes the extra mile to help you. Love the new look much more welcoming

The support staff (cleaner) were LESS than Professional , I would say DISRESPECTFUL. Do NOT judge your experience AT the Library with the Lady that was responsible for cleaning the building . The employees that deal with the Public on a daiĺy basis , regarding Library issùes are AMAZING .

This branch of the library is always so clean and bright. The staff are always very nice and my daughters really enjoy going to visit Norbert when picking up some books or games. I hope the staff at the new Essa location will be just as great!

A newly renovated library. It not only looks beautiful but it is a lot more welcoming and reader friendly compared to the old layout. A much wider collection of videos (on hoopla or disc) and an ever growing collection of electronic and hard copy books. Absolutely love it. Not to forget the knowledgeable and always helpful librarians.
