Wow. Great experience. We are a family of 4 (2 kids and 2 adults). Food was great and there was so much food. We will be back.

The service started out ok. It progressively got worse. Husband asked if he was busy and he said yes but I only saw him working 3 tables. He always for got to bring something for the meal . We went for a quick lunch and it turned into a one hour forty five min lunch. I had to ask another server for the bill and that didn’t make it to the table I had to go up to pay for it. We never saw our server again. Not sure the reason. The food was average. My fajitas were over cooked but had some good flavor. My husbands nachos were basically a joke it was more like a small taco salad without cheese. When going out to dinner the expectation should be that it would be better than home cooking and be worth the high prices that are being charged. We are still looking for a good Mexican restaurant and this one we will not return. Spent too much money for not enough service and less quality food. Final note. This restaurant has divided walls and should be repaired and re painted.

Food was good. Guac was great. Cheese sauce was thick, but not enough spice for my preference. The burrito I ordered did not list rice or beans, but was mostly both. Hubby's fajitas, however, did list peppers and onions, but was mostly meat. Portion sizes weren't as big as what I'm used to in most Mexican restaurants, but still more than enough food. My friend had the blueberry margaritas and was in love. All in all, it was a pretty good experience.

I had an amazing experience here. The food was very good and a Spanish cover of one dance" by drake played on loop while we were eating and it was great. I would def come back another time"

My first ever experience here was a great one! So great that I've tried to go back 3 different times, all of which were never possible. Twice they said they were closing early, as I walked in an hour prior to the posted close time. Both times I was hoping for a quick cold one after a long day. A third time stated the entire restaurant was rented for a private party. While it's all fine if they choose to close early or rented for a private party, due to the three previous attempts to visit here, I won't plan to make an effort to visit here anymore after 3 failed ones.3 stars for 3 failed attempted visits.

It started off with a smell I still can't describe. It had the potency of a teenager that has discovered Axe body spray for the first time. I would have left, but the family wanted Mexican food.It took almost 10 minutes after being seated to see the waiter for the first time. We ordered food on the spot unsure of the next visit.Food came out 30 minutes later. 2 people shared a nice looking pineapple fajita dish. The other 2 got a burrito and enchilada with mole sauce. Those 2 people were unsatisfied. Should kept my first instinct and left on first smell of the place.If you have never had mole sauce, it's a bit like cinnamon and dirt mixed together...

The fajitas and enchiladas at Mexcal - Mexican Cuisine are excellent! The server was friendly and thoughtful about working around my son's gluten/dairy free allergies. We also liked the music and decor a lot. We highly recommend it!

Happy hour was awesome from from 8pm-11. $3.50 margaritas, can’t beat that! The food and drinks were delicious I left very full and with a great buzz.

We had a weirdly long wait time before getting to order, was told by all the front workers they’d be with us soon and just kept not coming to us (even for drinks initially). This was with the restaurant nearly empty and multiple staff around. Bathroom looked ran through, again despite not many in the restaurant and seemingly enough staff. Nice and friendly staff, however they got my order wrong and the food was squarely average. Prices were fair/average for what it was

Boyfriend and I had just gotten to La Crosse after a 2.5 hour drive hungry. And decided on MexCal for dinner.Upon arrival we were asked if waiting for 5 mins or so would be fine but also be seated. We had no issue with that. When it came to ordering the gentleman taking our order was rather gracious with us especially with it being hard to hear me. And I really appreciate how serious they took my dairy allergy! I didn’t even have a hint of a reaction and that can be hard to find when eating out.My boyfriend got the carne asada craft tacos and I got the pork belly craft tacos. Both were absolutely delicious! And the sides of rice and beans made it even better! Only negative, kinda, is that the rice was partly firm mixed with soft rice. And red sauce was kinda spicy by itself but didn’t add spice when mixed with the food. Still added a good flavor though. Overall, will definitely be back! Thank you so much for your hard work and delicious food!
