My clock chimed when it went in for cleaning ($380) and only clunked when it came out. When I took it back he flatly refused to correct the issue that he clearly caused. I was astonished. Two weeks later my clock just stopped working. There is no way I would go back. You shouldn't go there either.

My recent experience at Lee's was a negative one. I brought in two wrist watches to have batteries replaced. Was charged $45 cash for this service. Upon getting home, I discovered that one of my watches had a deep scratch on the backside and the time set" button no longer functioned. When I returned the now non-functioning watch to Lee he got mad and told me it wasn't his fault that the watch no longer worked. He also refused to refund me the money for the battery or even to look at the watch to try to figure out the problem. Disappointing service."

He has done several jobs for me on clocks and watches. I have no complaints about his technical skill and his prices are low, very low.

The owner — Danny Lee -- was initially contracted by my mother to service a 40 year old Herschede Grandfather clock. He charged top dollar for the job, and demanded an additional $500 for the 45 minute installation. After the installation, it became apparent that he didn't do it properly as the moon phasing did not work at all. When I called him to let him know, he was insulting, hostile and evasive. Week after week I called him and he promised to come back and fix it, but never called. After weeks of trying, he finally agreed to a date to come and fix the problem, but didn’t show up. I texted him on the day but he never replied. When I called him to ask him why he didn’t show up he was insulting, yelled at me on the phone, and then hung up on me.To make matters worse, when he came to install my mother’s clock, I gave him a vintage Omega watch to service. It now runs about 30 seconds too fast per day.Foolishly, at that same time, I also gave him my sister’s grandfather clock to fix. He would not come back and install it unless we paid him a further $500.We paid this guy almost $3,000. My mother’s clock’s moon phasing still doesn’t work, my watch still runs about 30 seconds too fast per day, and my sister’s clock sits idle until we pay someone else at a reasonable cost to come and complete the installation. He did not stand by his not very good work, and he was terrible to deal with.

He charged us $600 to repair a mantle clock, old German mantle clock, and it only keeps time...the Westminster chimes do not work. They didn't work before and the timepiece was also not accurate, but now only the timepiece works. So I took it back for warranty work and 6 months later it is back in my hands but still not chiming correctly. I have to take it back again! Not happy!
