I do not like writing negative reviews but felt the need for this after having my bike serviced here. Found the mechanic to be very condescending during the initial assessment. The fix" they provided for my bike was unstable which caused my bike to break a week later. According to a mechanic at a different shop

My partner took her bike in for a full service before our 4500km ride from Tuktoyaktuk to Vancouver, and completely took advantage of her. After she payed $200 I was expecting everything to be running smoothly. However, apart from a new cassette (which they put the wrong speed on) the headset was completely loose, gears not indexed properly, rear hub loose, brakes loose. I failed to see what, if anything they did to her bike, apart from steal her money. AVOID.

I live in the neighborhood and have been going to the shop for years.John, Dan and Ben are stars. Great guys who will go out of their way to get your bike fixed.I really appreciate their willingness to go above and beyond to get things done when necessary.I like supporting local businesses like On Top because they help make our community a great place to live.

They had a dh bike listing on pinkbike for something I was interested in: the price was a little high but I thought I'd check it out and see if they would negotiate a better price. Upon arrival my wife and I were greeted by a very gregarious chap by the name of Dan: turns out he was the shop's owner. My wife and I browsed for awhile and then got down to business; I knew what I wanted to pay but was more than happy when Dan excepted my offer. All in all a great deal and pleasurable experience: highly recommend this store, oh yeah I'll be going back again for skis and bikes for my 3 kids: thanks again Dan!!

Really poor customer service. I emailed several times asking if they had a part in stock, no reply. I phoned to ask them to check and they said they would look for it and call me back by end of the day. No one called me. I phoned them the next day and they still didn’t find the part yet AND they didn’t even apologize for not following through with their promise to call me back. Like, this is just basic customer service and hospitality in retail… it really felt like they couldn’t give a single F about a paying customer! I did not give them my business. Lots of other bike shops with better customer service out there.
