Only a couple restaurants in McBride, and on a busy sledding weekend this place fills up fast. As with many businesses up here this restaurant is hurting for personnel and their cook was not working on this Friday, so the bar staff were also operating the kitchen? They limited the menu and were not cooking steaks, so we all had pizzas. Their personal pizzas are huge, and could have been shared easily btwn 2. All the pizzas were good, and we had leftovers for lunch on the sleds the next day. Nice atmosphere, and even short-staffed the girls did a good job of serving a very full building. Good selection of beers, and their double caesers were tasty and strong enough to kick one of ours crew's butts into submission! Recommended, but hoping they fix their staff shortage as we would all have loved a steak after a hard day's riding Mt. Renshaw.

While stopped in McBride on a road trip we decided to visit at the Gigglin Grizzly Pub due to its high google reviews and wonderfully entertaining name. However, we were quickly left disappointed, and realized this would not be the night we were hoping for. Off to bat, our server Bobby-Jo was unwelcoming and hostile. I asked if there were any gluten free menu items, or if anything could be accommodated to be gluten free, and she responded “no, we don’t serve those types of people here”. My heart was left broken and my stomach grumbling. I continued to search through the menu, hoping to find something I could eat that would not leave me in severe discomfort. I eventually landed on the Cesar salad made without croutons. Only after explaining that this was not a lifestyle choice, but an allergy, did she accept my order. However, she did not made note of my allergy or any of our orders, and we were later visited by another server to confirm our orders. I am used to my allergy being an inconvenience servers, and typically apologize in advance. However, I have never been met with such a judgemental, condescending attitude. I sincerely hope that going forward the staff is able to educate themselves on the importance and possible severity of allergies. Additionally, I would like to say that the prices are quite high for the level of service and the quality of food received. I understand inflation but a single cider and a small chicken Cesar salad (sans croutons) should not set me back $35. That being said, if anyone with dietary restrictions is looking for overpriced intestinal damage and an extra therapy appointment at the expense of feeling like a burden. I highly recommended !

Good pub with limited hours but good quality food. Can be a bit of a wait for food, but staff are friendly. Prices are typical for pub, with custom higher end options available (require advance notice).

Thanks Lindsay and Tammy for the great hospitality, food and conversation. Ordered the cod burger with a house salad and tried their raspberry and rhubarb crisp. Of course you have to have the crisp heated up with vanilla ice cream. My first meal on this trip and as always, I pick a local place as they are the secret gems on my travels.

Ordered a burger and white Russian. The burger was small and underwhelming for the price. The drink was also small and underwhelming. The beer was good and what I expected. The atmosphere and location are great.

Went here after a long day of driving and sledding. It was 25 minutes till the restaurant closed. We felt bad going in so late. We asked if it was okay and they were more then welcoming. Good drinks and very good food. The food came fast as well.Good country folks working here. Appreciate y’all.

The Fish & Chips and Steak Sandwich were delicious!! Even the tartar sauce and coleslaw were very tasty. The minestrone soup was hearty. Great atmosphere. Friendly service. The steak sandwich dish was a little pricey for the portion size but it was worth paying considering it's a small town pub. Will definitely stop there again!

Nice atmosphere - quiet, classy, wood ceilings. The pulled pork sandwich is nice. This would be a 5/5 if it wasn't for their weird hours. They're not open for dinners on three weekdays. 4/5
