When it comes to storage locker only (I have no experience with renting a truck or van) I had great service from Kirthi who works in the office. She is kind and patient. I asked for her when I was doing my sign up and transactions and she was fantastic. She showed me around until I found the right size locker and made the experience very easy for my move, so I highly recommend!

The worst business in town as far as I'm concerned. I guess because they have business coming to them they don't need to worry about customer service. They won't bother to call you if something goes awry. If your coming from out of town don't rely on them. We went for a hitch install, booked in advance and they couldn't be bothered to call and inform us that there was no technician that day. They did refund hassle free but a total waste of time and gas money driving down there for nothing...

I would give negative stars if I could!1. Unreliable - change your reservation only on the day before. This affected my moving and the movers I had arranged.2. I reserved dollies & furniture pad. On the day I picked up the truck, they informed me that none were available! What was I going to do in the last minute?! I had to rushed to purchase the items and pay extra to my movers due to the extra time used.3. Filthy truck & empty tank!4. Where is the credit I was promised?!

When we got the truck it was parked extremely close to a concrete wall on the drivers side door, upon entering the vehicle is smelled very, very strongly of cigarette smoke. I was given no instructions on where the truck was parked or how to drive around the lot. Upon returning the vehicle I parked in the drop off spot and sat there for about 10 minutes before anyone came up to help, even though there are signs everywhere saying to stay in the vehicle and wait for an attendant. One of the employee's even helped the vehicle that pulled up behind me first while I sat there waiting then had a difficult time moving the truck behind me around where I was parked all without saying a word to me. You could also cut the employee apathy with a knife inside the shop

Extremely long wait on the phone, got transferred several times with no help and had to speak to very rude representative. Once at the lot to pick—up the rental, another 45 minute wait in a line. Hire some assistance!

Uhaul sucks. Honestly, if you can avoid them do it. It’s not easy only the island with limited options, but it will save you a headache.Your booking is not guaranteed…got an email the day of that our location changed to Nanaimo. As if moving wasn’t stressful enough my partner and I had to find our way 2 hrs up island to get our truck - which by the way they didn’t have so they gave us a bigger one that ended up costing us more money as it meant our ferry reso wasn’t valid.I hope potential movers see this and choose another option…don’t want anyone to have to go through the same thing.

Do online reservation than walk in rentals. Do payments with credit card. If it's a credit card you don't have to wait in the line when you return the truck for getting refunds or pay any extra charges. For renting a cargo van and pickup truck they take only credit card. One main thing to keep in mind is that this location only has two 15minutes customer parking spots and one handicap parking. There is parking space separately for customers who use storage. Overall I'm satisfied with the renting experience. I hope this info will help everyone. ✌️

The rental vehicle wasn't very clean, it had a smell to it. The exterior was dusty and dirty. There was cardboard U-Haul advertising sign on the windshield, which I had to remove myself and store in the cab. Last nail in the coffin was that it was parked in the most far corner of the lot behind other parked vehicles, so it was impossible to get out. I had to flag someone to move the other vehicle out of the way. It took 20-25 mins just trying to leave the property with all of the damage checks, fuel and mileage checks, and waiting to get unblocked by the vehicle, which does eat into your allocated rental time. However, the staff I intereacted with were nice and helpful.

I’ve used this place multiple times and have had a pleasant and easy experience every time. The staff (when not super busy) take time to chat and have some laughs. Puneet is definitely one of the friendliest people I’ve met, but the whole staff have always been great. Will definitely continue coming back here.

I wish I could give this location a negative star review. Horrible customer service, snotty rude employees, and zero knowledge or care for customers. There are countless reasons why I will never use U-Haul again and this place sealed the deal. The rental was never inspected and was parked at the back of the lot so close to the next truck it couldn't get out of the spot without damaging the side mirror.
