I purchased matt victorian red oak hardwood. The quality of the wood is very bad. Red oak is supposed to be of high quality and durability according to Janka scale. But the wood dents easily if children’s toy falls on them. I have a different brand of wood (red oak too) in living room and no matter how the toys are dropped by the children, it does not dent easily.I am guessing PG model’s red oak wood must be of cheap quality and not aged and prepared properly.I would certainly avoid purchasing their product in the future. But anyone purchasing their product, pls check the durability and compare with other products.

We placed an order for PG Model hardwood through Tile and Stone etc in Vaughan.When the hardwood came, we noticed how many orange hardwood pieces we got, almost 40% of the pieces... we knew that if we laid them all out on the floors, there's no way our floors would look the right color. We picked CAPE COD which is quite a dark hardwood color. We understand that there's some variation in hardwood but it should never be straight up orange like that. If you look at one of my photos I posted, you'll see on the left side is a NORMAL variation color and the right side is actually orange.Anyway, we arranged for a representative from the company to come see the hardwood. Dave (manager) and Tim (VP of something, I forget) came to see and agreed that the hardwood batch we got wasn't good. We asked for them to take it back and they said no. But they wanted us to meet them half way-- that is to try and install as many pieces as we can, cut pieces that weren't good, and try to install the bad pieces in the closets. And whatever we're missing they'll foot us the difference. We said okay, we can do that. They seemed like nice people, we trusted them and just went ahead with our project. Also, I want to say that by compromising with them, we essentially paid our contractors double to sort out the hardwood and to cut the bad pieces and to find places to hide our hardwood. This cost us money to do. But we did anyway, because we didn't want to be too difficult. We understand that it's a COVID-19 situation and honestly every business is having a hard time.About a week later, I called them say that we need an extra 45 boxes and their tone COMPLETELY changed. They said that they were thinking of only sending us 8-9 boxes and that we were being too picky with our wood. I told them that initially we wanted them to take everything back, we didn't even want to install these. In fact, it took us so much MORE time AND MONEY to install these. I got passed around to another employee who basically said I was being ridiculous for asking them to send so many boxes. Well, I agree it is a lot of boxes but that's why we wanted them to take these back in the first place.Anyway, I asked them if they would be okay with a compromise. That is, to send us 20 boxes and we will pay for the additional 20 boxes. She said she would need to speak with her supervisor and call me back at the end of the day. Well, it's the end of the day and I have not heard back. So far, this has not been a good experience and I already sense they'll likely say no to sending us 20 boxes. Half our house is a mess just sorting out their hardwood and we honestly did it because we didn't want to give them a hard time.I would not recommend PG Model for hardwood. Maybe when things are great, they're a great company. But when things go wrong, they definitely don't stand behind their products and will not work with you to solve the problem. With a $11, 000 you would honestly expect more from them.*EDIT in response to the owner's reply: We never got a call from Dave. Instead, they offered us 4 boxes of the hardwood and asked us to sign an NDA! Why would I need to sign an NDA when there isn't even an settlement? I didn't take their measly 4 boxes since it's not even enough for a room and I didn't sign their NDA. Very shady business. If you do purchase hardwood from them, which I HIGHLY DO *NOT* recommend, I would get everything in writing because they'll just go back on their word and take advantage of kind people.

Bois d entrée de gamme même qualité que chez home dépôt,largeur différente et pas d équerre.On a installer Pg sur 2 de nos job l autres était de l érable nature aussi plein d imperfections prévoyez du putty...

The pictures are very misleading on not showing the micro bevel of the wood. PG does a really good job of masking that in their samples and pictures online. Please ensure you order an actual box and check it out before it gets installed. When you purchase the wood, the reseller and PG state the micro bevel is within specs of the flooring and will send a wood pen to fix the issues. PG and my reseller did a good job of leading me on with a wood pen that will mask it and that was not delivered before they installed. I am now stuck with the wood that I like if it didn’t have the light micro bevel color difference. It is unfortunate that they sell you differently than what you actually get. BE CAREFUL and make sure it’s what you want before you have them install it and actually see a box of wood!Now that the floor is in and i still don't have the wood pen from PG after a month of asking for it, the local reseller stated to me that if i now use the pen that it voids the warranty of the floor. Very poor customer service as they just want to get the floor in and promising things they don't deliver before. Its unfortunate that its such a great floor, but the micro bevel looks like there is grout line in the floor all the way through. Its unfortunate that the company that has a good product and i have spent quite a bit of money on something looking good and not what i was promised.Hopefully the rest of you looking at the reviews will learn from this and be able to ask more questions and get a sample box and verify it before you install it. If you install it they wont take it back and you are stuck with it even though they promised a wood pen they never send. Don't fall for the same thing i did and hopefully this will help others out.

Ordered krafla maple through Smith Wood Floors. Very happy...beautiful floor...love it!

Acheté 500 pc de bois franc unique, plusieurs planches de craquer environ une cinquantaines, les joints entre les planches qui sont pas egales, des taches d’huile noir et grise sur plusieurs planches qui ont un aspect de saleté sous le vernis. Plancher pg offre un service apres vente tres mediocre ils sont tres bon pour se defendre et sortir toutes les clauses pour se justifier. J’ai d’ailleurs des planches de craquer en deux completements. Je me recommande pas se produit au prix qu’il coute je vous conseil d’aller vers une autres compagnie. Si vous avez des problemes avec votre plancher de plusieurs millier ne compter pas sur eux pour vous offrir un servixe apres vente
