Every time I'm in Victoria, I make a point to come visit Pic A Flic! It's a local institution, and has a better selection than all the streaming services combined! Definitely my happy place :)

Still a treasure trove of hard to find and individual films. Foreign, classics and genres are all represented here and the prices are great. Let's hope they stay for a long time as there aren't any other vendors left. Well worth a visit.

Great video rental store - well actually a DVD rental store. Went back there for the first time since they moved from Cook St. Village, where they had an amazing selection of rare and obscure videos.It was great wandering the isles and looking at the rentals, a world of difference from the Netflix and YouTube experience.

I love this movie store so much. It is one of the last in the city and I'm lucky to live close to it. It has a great variety and a home feeling store and the people are always so sweet and helpful. I hope this place never goes out of business because of how well they have made their business and because I wouldn't have any movies to watch!

It's a video rental store. In 2019. [UPDATE 2023: They are going out of business. Not sure how much longer they'll be around.]Has cult favourites and wacky titles that you can't get anywhere else (Amazon, Bittorrent, etc...) These are a dying breed. Check it out while you can. I did and ended up with five videos. I would've rented more if I had the time to watch them over that next week!

Pic a Flic is one of the best reasons to live in Victoria - their film collection is unparalleled, their rental rates are extremely fair, and their staff is always on hand with recommendations. Forget about waiting for your stream to buffer or about Netflix removing that movie you've had on your To Watch list for ages.I'm a huge foreign film buff and I like trying to track down old and rare films from prominent filmmakers, so I'm forever grateful that Kent and the crew are willing to look into special ordering weird and niche movies for me. The staff are very knowledgeable about their stock, and I recommend talking to them to find some hidden gems.Be sure to subscribe to their mailing list to hear about new releases.

Instead of the undignified experience of streaming movies through hbo or netflix, I come here.It's clean, they have virtually every film ever, the staff is pleasant, they give cool recommendations, and you get to extol the virtues of buying locally or whatever.No longer must I chew the slop that those big business media fatcats shovel me.I am free.

I love that you can still go somewhere to rent movies! It’s so nostalgic! They have an amazing selection, any move I ever want to watch is here.Even when stuff is on Netflix I sometimes still come here to rent it anyway lol cause it brings back so many good memories.I love renting old Disney movies, tv series and they always have the newest releases right when they come out! I hope these guys are still around for a while ❤️

Given that there are so many different streaming services these days I have gone back to renting for the most part. Not only do I feel good about supporting a small local business, they have a fantastic selection of new and old movies and shows. The staff also are friendly, knowledgable and helpful.
