Point Pleasant Grocery

Delightful little spot to get a GOOD variety of treats, right next to Point Pleasant Park. Has a nice feel to it as well. A cut above" your average corner store

Do not purchase masks here, they are the same masks the library gives away for free just with patterns. The fabric is like the inside of swim trunks. Don't trust your elderly alone in his store. My Wife and I went in to buy a couple of masks. The owner has them listed at $8 each. An elderly lady in front of us told the owner she needed 3 masks, and the store owner grabbed 3 of the same dog mask, and asked if she liked them. She said she'd like a dog one, and he quickly proceeded to ring her in at $58 for just those 3! He told her to pay, and we could tell she didn't know what was happening, but she happily paid and left to her car.My wife decided to just get one that she really liked, and after the owner rung in her mask, he swapped it with one under the counter!

The owner scammed me and distracted me while not giving me the correct change in cash back. He didn't give or offer me a receipt so there's no getting the correct change back now. I purchased a mask that was already in a plastic bag, expecting that it's the item I will get. He took the mask away and gave me a different one that was under the counter that he touched - not sanitary.

Best thing about the store: Ice-creams! The store is pretty handy if you don't want to walk to the Superstore and Sobeys and need a quick snack. The prices are a bit higher which is fair considering that you are saving time. The shop owner is great and always greets with smile.

My friend and I got two delicious ice creams.The owners were super kind with us and also, they have a huge selection of ice cream flavours.

Guy over charges for everything except the ice cream

This is a great post-park spot to stop in for an ice cream. They have a huge selection of flavours in regular or waffle cones. Prices are a bit higher than what I'd expect but the service is always speedy and friendly. They even have a few small patio tables and chairs right outside the doors. The store itself is extremely cluttered with a random assortment of just about anything you'd want or need at a mini grocery store. I especially like all the random 'Friends' memorabilia floating around.

Pretty expensive for a convenience store. Cashier charged me double the asking price for a $4.99 sub. Be careful and keep an eye on the total. I however did get some of my money back which was more than generous and I got an extra scoop on my banana ice cream so I’m happy.

I bought 2 masks here. After I left the store I noticed the masks smelled like clothing from a second hand store. I washed them twice but they still smell like old recycled clothing. I won't be buying any more masks here.
