The salesman was very helpful and accommodating. Even though they did not offer what I needed, he was willing to discus options and offer suggestions of how i could get my project done.

Read the fine print! Scott told my wife and I that we were in the install area! I'm old school and my word is everything. Come to find out after the job was completed we received another bill for over $400 for travel and removal of the existing fireplace liner.I called Scott the first time I received this bill. He mentioned he did not have the bill in front of him and would call me back. Needless to say he did not.... Month went by I received another invoice, I emailed Scott to call me immediately... And guess what.. He did not, I had to call him. Finally after talking he said to read the fine print!Whole moral of this rant is to read fine print and make sure he and you installer makes everything VERY TRANSPARENT up front.

In looking for good products, we came to Lawson's, and after first dealing with Scott, he seemed like a trustworthy person. Only to be overcharged and promises made that were not kept, and no messages returned from him nor the company! WARNING GO SOMEWHERE ELSE

SOOT EVERYWHERE. Our fireplace had a broken thermocouple and Lawson's was to fix it. The tech was sick so there was some understandable delay then he came. He spent time to determine that a replacement part was needed and , in the process. broke another part. The two parts needed to be ordered so he vacuumed and packed up and left . Then we discovered that the VACUUM BAG WAS NOT SEALED OR FILTERED PROPERLY AND THE MAIN FLOOR OF OUR HOUSE WAS SPRAYED WITH SOOT. We have vacuumed, swiffered, washed, dusted, and wiped : floors, walls, pictures and frames, counters and books, christmas tree and ornaments , blinds and curtains. After 3 weeks I have no idea when it will be all gone. Lawson's apologized and said our bill would reflect compensation. The invoice did reflect some deductions but also charged for an unauthorized servicing /cleaning and the broken part as well as the time the tech spent sooting my house. (And we are still cleaning!) Upon further discussion the unauthorized work was not billed but ultimately this was work poorly done by Lawson's and a complaint inadequately dealt with.

I needed to get new appliances through an insurance claim and my insurance wanted three quotes. I wanted to buy from a local company, rather than a big box store, and Tim was able to beat the lower guy's price, no problem! Delivered on time and with smiles!

Were very quick to sell you something but when you need help in time of emergency and you had no power. The whole reason for the propane fireplace was for that very reason and when time came to use it then we were let down. Will not recommend that anyone buy something from them. I am sure not every person on their list was out of power today . Very unhappy customer.

I went to Lawsons to have a wood stove installed in my garage and I would supply any materials they need to complete the installation. Last Fall I had Tony & Dean show up to start the install of the wood stove. I made sure to be home this day to be able to run back and forth to the local Home Hardware to purchase anything they needed to do their job. Later that day Tony signs off for the WETT and then I provide the copy to my insurance. In June 2018 about 6-7 months after install I noticed my wall behind the stove wet. I contacted lawsons they said they'd come in about a week and I mentioned to the lady this was not acceptable I need someone there to prevent anymore damage. This was a newly built home. Tony showed up and had a look and denied anything wrong with the install and left, i proceed to grab a hose and start to spray the outside chimney to see for myself if it would leak and sure enough it started to leak I called tony back and he applied sillicone on the leak. This was June 25 2018. July 4th Scott from lawsons stops by for a in house view of the damage and says he'll send Doug or Wayne to fix the water damage. After a couple of weeks I don't receive any contact from anyone from lawsons, so I approach Scott and he keeps tell me that Doug is finishing up a job and will be there soon. We arrive into August and I start getting frustrated and show up to lawsons pretty much every Friday to get an update on the situation. Finally Doug shows up and says he'll be by on Friday and have the guys from Lawsons move the stove in order to get the work done. Noone shows up that Friday, this is about the last week of August I got into Lawsons looking answers. Later that day I receive a call from Stacey or Tracey who makes the install appointments saying she can book Tony to move the stove in about 2 weeks . again I said this is not acceptable we're 3 months from the start of the issue. Tony came that day and phoned me to open my garage door on my mobile since i was at Sobeys, 6 mins later Tony called again and told me he was done moving the stove and I could shut the door. The manager from lawsons then sent wayne another contractor over to look at the issue but after looking he called me the next day and only wanted to remove 5 up from the bottom plate but i refused since the water entered from roughly 8 feet above
