We are thrilled to have a well managed business operating the boatyard in Maple Bay. I continually receive positive feedback from boat owners. Jessie, their mechanic, is rebuilding the legs our are older Sundance 300 and doing a complete overhaul/check up on the engines. I am looking forward to getting our boat back out on the water when it is all done.

It was almost 3 years ago when I brought Welo my 1974 Newport 28 to Shelter Marina with a hope of living and working on her but found it an enormous overwhelming task to tackle all the known repairs that had to be done. The day after I had her on the hard I met Stratos and Patrick whom just started the day before their new business Valet Yacht Services and I became their first client! They opened their shop to me and we started a plan to continue the refit of Welo that my friend started. A simple quick refit soon developed into a complete refit as we discovered lots of other issues that needed to be addressed, if it wasn’t for Stratos and Patrick’s expertise, unwavering support and patience I would have packed it in! I am extremely happy with their service and would highly recommend Valet to any boat owner looking to upgrade or help maintain their boat!

This was when he had his old company called Stratos Yacht Services. Do not use this companies services whatever you do. We had an experience that completely devasted me about the honesty of this person. We had hired Stan to coordinate services for our boat refit, we discussed the plan, the cost and how long we had to do the refit. Stan assured us that he could do the job within the time frame and cost discussed. 3 months into the refit we knew we had a problem, our budget had skyrocted, the boat had been completely gutted inside so we could not stop the refit. Stan continued to promise he would have the boat done and finished in our time frame. We organised weekly meeting to discuss the plan for the week , what still needed to be done, we asked for itemized costs of what he was charging us But this was to no avail. He delayed services, we tried to contact him he avoided our calls. Our refit which was meant to take 4 months ended up taking 7 months with cost doubling. He was dishonest from the start, we trusted him to be our guide and he completely took advantage of us. Do not get any services done with him.
