Alt Hotel Winnipeg
Such a nice hotel as always, the Alt lifestyle is great! Minimalist posh, simple and clean with friendly and helpful staff at the front desk. The basic Queen room has an interesting and unique layout that is efficient and aesthetically pleasing. I heard the hotel is fully booked but the room is extremely quiet and I have not heard any noise from any neighbours. Super nice lobby with nice trendy furniture for sitting around. Winnipeg downtown is very populated with homeless people especially around the Portage Place mall which is next to the hotel, but the hotel has maximum security (which some people may not like, but I enjoy it a lot). My only complaint is that there does not seem to be any kind of room service during your stay if you don't ask for it directly, but the room appeared in great condition when I moved in. I kept it pretty neat but there was no room service for my 3-night stay. Oh well...

The Alt Hotel brand seems to pride itself on being edgy and inclusive. Which I'd say it does a fairly good job at but don't be deceived, this hotel is not very accessible. I asked for an accessible room when I booked (though i was aware this might not be possible) and I asked about it when I checked in. They only have 1 single accessible room and it was being cleaned. Minimalism doesn't need to disregard function. Adding simple quality of life hand rails in the bathroom would really make a difference. Just make them look unique.Honestly just wish this stay had been more for recreation, as I might have enjoyed it more. Unfortunately I was in need of the accessibility and felt a little let down. I would definitely have thought this would be just the hotel to have more walk in roomier showers and such.If you're able bodied and you're looking for a trendy and comfortable stay downtown in Winnipeg, it's definitely one of the better choices. The hotel is lovely. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Pairs well with people who are interested in walking around the city and checking out the local businesses and landmarks, which are super close by. No room service but you can order Skip the Dishes or visit the two extremely close by restaurants.

Tried to check in at 1 pm when check in was at 3 pm told the desk I totally understand if a room isn’t available but thought I would check to see if it is possible. She informed me that a room similar to mine is available but wanted to charge me a $30 fee for early check in even though jt is already cleaned and not being used. They would rather the room sit empty unless their customers shell out extra money above and beyond the room fee.I stay in hotels weekly through work and never run into policies like this.Terrible customer service I would recommend staying elsewhere.

Headed to Winterpeg for business and pleasure. Outstanding hotel. Room cleanliness was top notch, loved having the Nespresso coffee machine at our finger tips, parking was excellent, within walking distance of restaurants and the Canada Life building for the Jets games! Only issue was the sirens at night as there was A LOT of them. I can see why they have earplugs next to the bed.

Very cramped room and small uncomfortable bed. Moreover they don't provide complimentary water bottles in the room which is pretty customary in almost all hotels. Also the lack of blackout curtains mean you ll wake up at sunrise as the room gets really bright. The staff though is very nice and helpful.Won't be staying here again

First thing my mom and I had problems checking in, different information from different people, room is small, wasn’t very impressed, no microwave we had go to different floors to warm our food in a small room. We ask for a fridge because we had to stay for few weeks we got a really small fridge that could barely hold anything and couldn’t keep anything cold. Wifi was terrible. We checked out on a Monday afternoon and my mom forget her beautiful scarf in the closet and called the Tuesday morning for them to check for it they said there was nothing in the closet my mom was so upset. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone. Beautiful lobby though that’s about it

Great spot to be and right in the thick on the action. Ace was very hospitable and a jem to chat with. Enjoyed my stay there and looking forward to bringing the family back to Winnipeg some time and stay at the ALT Hotel again.

I was at the Alt Winnipeg for one night in December 2022. I had a corner room, that was comfortable and roomy and had a small fridge. I booked direct with the hotel and requested a late check-out at the front desk, which was OK, but they did have to confirm with housekeeping first the next morning. I used ear plugs to sleep. There are very many sirens in downtown Winnipeg. Since I got a good rate I would stay there again, otherwise I would pick a quieter location.

Modern room, comfortable, good view of the city, especially if on the top floor. Large windows to the full height of the room! All amenities. Only one minus is that after 7 pm on the city street it is very dangerous!

Worst Hotel Stay Ever - Alt Hotel is the Worst Hotel , I could have ever stayed . Customer service is worst - Paid $ 220 / night ( that includes you pay for parking , Accommodation tax ??, Province tax ). Had to buy my own toiletries , Its not included in the price .No room Service Available at night time ( reasons under staffed ). I am a AMEX Black Credit Card Holder and had access to hotels like Fairmont who were charging $200 a night. But I guess I made a stupid decision to give them a Chance . This Review will also be Sent to all travel Websites as well as Amex. The Price of Hotel Per Night Does not Justify the Service Provided. ( Location Has nothing to do with price ) . Raddison hotel opposite to this property is always the best choice if staying in downtown Winnipeg.Front Staff Does not care for any Customer concerns
