We had previously eaten at the PortoFino in Old Québec and enjoyed the experience greatly. We wanted to bring my parents (79 and 89 years old) to experience the same but because the bathrooms there were down a flight of stairs, this was an issue for my father who uses a cane. When I found out that there was a PortoFino in Ste-Foy, I called and asked them if the bathrooms were located on the same floor as the restaurant and was I told yes. Sadly, we found out that the bathrooms there were also downstairs. J'avais parlé en français lors de cet appel, donc ce n'était pas un problème de communication. In terms of the food it was OK overall, some dishes much better than others. My father's fettuccini Alfredo was rather insipid.Service was friendly but we did have to ask for dirty plates from Entrées to be removed. No bread is offered. I find this odd in a restaurant where you are spending 50-75$ per person. The atmosphere is more suited to a younger crowd. I can see why they state that children are not allowed: it's because overly loud and agitated children might clash with the overly loud and agitated 20 year old patrons. :)So, overall I cannot go above a 3. Based on our experience, if you are looking for a quieter night, the PortoFino in Old Québec would be a better option.

I went to dinner with my friends. Service was very slow, and I paid $60 for a simple pasta and beer! Honestly, I didn't like it at all.

My wife and I visited this restaurant for a nice evening out. Service was incredibly slow and it took over an hour to get our food. Servers and staff seemed more into partying with the guests than serving them. I had the risotto, immediately leaving the restaurant I started having cramps and when I returned to where we were staying I was sick for the next 4 hours. Would not recommend eating here.

Restaurant was very accommodating , I booked online not knowing kids were not allowed in was a bit disappointing at first but then the manager gave us a private room to dine in , great service and great food !!

Fancy eats with great atmosphere and an expansive collection of alcohol. The marinara sauce was the highlight: try it on the fried cheese appetizer or on the mussels.

Not recommended to anyone not speaking French!!!! We visited Quebec City and end up eating dinner at this place. Extremely disappointed in the way we are received and treated. When asked for English menu the waitress replied with “there isn’t any and she doesn’t speak English”!!! RUDE!!! At the end she threw the receipt at us.The food is ok. Don’t expect anything really special and it is high priced. This restaurants doesn’t deserve any stars.

First restaurant that I tried on Quebec… sadly I don’t speak French. I got treated badly. My server was rude and never came back to ask if I want another drink or how my food was, I felt they didn’t want me there. Food was good, presentation is lovely. They never came back to ask me how the meal was. Prices are too high for the quality of the service and food it is not that great. I will not come back. Do no recommend either unless you want to feel unwelcome.

Great atmosphere and decor, friendly staff but my pasta carbonara was very mediocre. Way too many onions and undercooked pancetta. Spaghetti should be much thicker too.I dined with my Italian friend from Genoa and he was laughing at how bad it was.

Food was very good, but portion sizes were more much too small. I would have liked it the waiter could have brought some water and bread on the table. We had to ask for everything, this was a bit annoying. For an above average price restaurant I would expect better service.Parking is a available behind the building, not the entrance on route de l'Église.
