Lucky Key Chinese Restaurant

Typically we have had good success with this location; however the last two time (dinner for 6) was not up to par. We ordered extra on that meal, open ended egg rolls and got the closed.Might not be a big deal to some, but my partner has a preference, for a reason. Items were substituted out for other items without letting us know (battered shrimp - typically very good). Trash it went into; not because it wasn't good (throw stuff together), just not for us. If there is going to be a sub, then as a client we should know. If you can't provide the item during the order then let me know so I can choose what the sub is.

There's barely any egg in the Chicken egg Foo young. Is that not the main ingredient!! Egg rolls are overcooked and hard.

I can say the reason for the low rating is my wife and I picked up dinner at the lucky key the staff was friendly but the food was awful the rice tasted different the chicken balls where different the egg rolls also tasted really bad the sweet and sour sauce that goes on the chicken balls looked like it was watered down it didn’t have the same taste or colour or thickness to it the portions size was a joke my wife ordered garlic spare ribs as a side and there where only 3 small pieces of garlic spare ribs in her dish and 3 chicken balls in both dishes over all the food was complete garbage not worth the money that was spent really wish the previous owners had never sold the wok at least under the management the food was really good and worth the money

My first time ordering here, food was excellent!! Will be my new place when I’m craving Chinese food !!

Ewwwww the food we was disgusting what is up with that sauce on the chicken balls I also only got 3 chicken balls and the egg rolls where just as bad and the rice how can you screw up rice and also the increase in price totally not worth what you get and no joke that whole meal I got made me and my wife and our kids completely sick to our stomach’s where did the owners of the wok go if they opened a new restaurant tell me where it is so I can go there instead

Our food was really tasty! We ordered individual dishes, not a combo, and felt that the portions were good. We loved the Singapore noodles, pork ribs (tender and great sauce), egg rolls, almond chicken guy ding, mixed veg (just the right softness/firmness). Also enjoyed the general tao chicken, not very spicy. Good ol' chicken fried rice.Definitely room for improvement as a few of our dishes got mixed up and the delivery was late, but she was very apologetic. Thankfully we really enjoyed the food, so all was well in the end. We will definitely try them again to see how it goes.

This Chinese restaurant was close to home so we ordered from them off a whim. Our food ended up being the freshest and tastiest that we have ever tried in Ottawa. For such a small restaurant we were shocked at how high quality the food was. Not only that but we have plenty of leftovers since they packed so many extra egg rolls. If you’re hesitating ordering here, don’t! We were not disappointed.
