Coal & Canary

Coal & Canary are my absolute favourite candles! There are so many amazing scents to choose from, and the smell is not overbearing like so many other candles are. Also, the wood wick sounds like a crackling fire! The customer service is outstanding, and shipping/delivery is extremely fast! Love them!

Not only have I been a huge fan of the C&C brand and product for years, I can now say first hand that I love the culture and community of the workplace as well. I work in the home office behind the scenes and am loving it.

I really loved Coal and Canary's candles. Such amazing smells, cute fun names, and a great, inspiring story. However, they're not the same quality they used to be. They look the same, but the scent has no throw at all. I purchased the little travel set, which was adorable, but the candles didn't have any smell while burning. It was so disappointing.I absolutely loved the idea of the Fangtastic candle, and the fresh apple smell was amazing! But once I lit it, there was no smell at all. Absolutely no throw. I'd spent almost $150 on that order, so I'm hoping one of the others will be better, but after reading some of these reviews, it's seeming more and more common that the candles have no throw.The customer service, ideology, packaging and look of the products is still great, but I really hope the quality can return to what it once was. The Ginger Bell candle was a Christmas tradition, but now I don't want to risk it. :(

I received my first Coal & Canary candle as a gift over a year ago, and have been ordering from them regularly since. Their candles are well worth what you pay for them. The scents are soft and not overpowering, and the wooden wicks are a great added touch. Shipping is always fast and their customer service team responds in a very timely manner.

Very little scent, which is deceiving, as in the store, they all smell quite strong under the display glass. Maybe at $10- $15 a candle, but won't be getting my business again at the current pricing.

Amazing product and amazing costumer service! I bought a candle from the Toronto One of a Kind show, and after the first burn my candle started giving off lots of smoke to the point my fire alarm was set off. Figuring I just received a faulty candle, I emailed Coal and Canary about my issue and they were so quick and lovely in their reply and immediately sent a new one to me free of charge! I have had no issues with my new candle and have been absolutely loving it - the Chunky Knit Sweater scent is delicious and the crackling of the wood wick is so soothing! I have been eyeing these candles at the Edmonton Butterdome craft show for awhile. I finally purchased one, a scent that is incredible to smell before it's burning. I was excited to get this candle home and have my home smell like it. Unfortunately, it has been burning for hours and I smell nothing. Disappointing.

Coal & Canary’s products offer so much value. (Way better than competitors) and they have really attractive smelling candles. The staff are super friendly and the store is nice and simple and not over crowded which is nice!

Attended a candle making party last night, all thanks to my daughters for the Mothers Day gift. What a wonderful evening. Got to make a one of a kind scented candle, and absolutely love it. I’m new to Coal and Canary (except have bought as gifts for my daughter), but now am hooked. Amanda and Jeff were truly lovely people, and I wish them nothing but success in the future!

I am absolutely obsessed with these candles. They are the perfect gift for literally any occasion and I enjoy mine in all 4 seasons year round! My favourite thing about C&C candles is that while they smell lovely, they're not overpowering to the point of a headache like less well-crafted competitors. I appreciate the creativity behind the brand with their cheeky names and diverse inventory.
