Excellent food, great portions ! Fast service. Reminded me of my last trip in India. Will definitely go back. Only thing : we wish it was a BYOB

2 hours waiting. Looked like the bread baskets have never been cleaned. Food was super subpar.

We ordered takeaway and were sorely disappointed with the butter chicken. Most Indian restaurants manage to nail this dish but unfortunately, Maison de Cari Golden opted to add sugar and some sort of cheese to their recipe making it completely inedible and unlike any other butter chicken we have ever tested (in terms of flavor and spices). The samosas were also nothing to write home about - stale and sparse filling. Luckily, we had ordered the 2 person meal and were glad to have two other dishes which were reasonably tasty: a spinach special and Bhuna Gohst. I wouldn't order from here again and as there are many more authentic Indian restaurants in the area I also would not recommend it either.

The quality has gone down over the last 10 years, but this place is still the best Indian restaurant in Montreal and has been around for at least 30 years if not longer. Prices are reasonable (higher since post covid, but that's everywhere), service has gone down as post covid forces them to focus more on the delivery services, but did not add extra staff for that.

Amazing smells. Food was mostly good though the naan bread was super sweet. I had the veggie set meal, at 18$ bucks for 6 different items it was very good value. Staff were very helpful

Some say simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. This restaurant is the embodiment of this expression. The dining area isn't exactly glitzy, but it doesn't matter when you're going there for the curries, as you should be. The curries have the perfect sauce-to-meat ratio and contain so much flavour that there should be a warning about it on the door. We've been regulars for years, and I can't see that changing any time soon.

Went to eat there with my 5 other friends for lunch. The restaurant was very accomodating to sit us comfortably as well suggest proper portions to feed our bellies.Food wise, their curries are on the mellow spicy side yet quite well layered with taste, generous in meat and quite thick/rich in sauce which is great. Nan was thick, fluffy and crisp, Rice was perfectly cooked with great aroma. Samosas also nicely crispy. The blonde (Taj Mahal) and brown (Cobra) beers served there were surprisingly refreshing and good pairings with the meal. The restaurant vibe itself could probably use better lighting to account for the lack of windows and also to help us appreciate the food better. Chairs felt a little old but I'm fine with the tables. Lets just say it works".This place gets 5 stars since the price and quality of food was great and I'll be returning to this spot when craving for indian food in the area."

Very bad experience. We went there for lunch. Ordered Tandoori Chicken,Palak paneer, lamb korma, rice and naan. None of them tasted good. The owner doesn't seem to care about the customers and doesn't even talk to them properly.Highly overpriced. The cutlery was dirty too. Will not recommend this place to anyone. Also the guy who attends customers seems to be from Bangladesh. They're just spoiling the name of Indian food.

Consistently flavourful and ample portions, this is my go-to for take away Indian in the Plateau.
