On Your Turf: Pet, Home & Farm Sitting

Janine has been taking care of my reptiles for the last few weeks and she has been awesome! I feel totally stress free knowing she’s the one taking care of my scaley friends!

Janine walked my dog early every morning for months straight when my leg was broken. My pup loves her and benefitted immensely from the walks I could no longer give. I recommend Janine highly.

I have been trusting Janine with the care of my dogs and cats for I think it is 15 years now. This was before she started her business, and I like to think it was my feisty Schipperke that inspired her down this pet care path. When my last kid left home for university, I realized I didn’t need to rush home after work, if I could find someone to take the dog out. When I retired, she was such a part of my dog’s day, I kept her on. Now, she and her staff have been with me through a succession of 4 dogs. They have, patiently cleaned messes in the puppy crate. They provided specialized, and loving, care to my dog dying of cancer. They have said good-bye with me and gushed with me over the cuteness of the new hello. When I am away of vacation, just about the moment I think my homesickness for my pets is terminal, a photo will come zooming across cyber-space depicting a happy brood . Even the cats will pose if it’s Janine pointing the camera. Knowing she has taken pet first aid courses, I have called for advice. Janine has come on emergency notice when I was sick. But best recommendation of all does not come from me, it comes from the furious thumping of my dog’s tail, that starts when the On Your Turf van turns down our street.

Janine is excellent, very knowledgeable about pets and how to handle them. My dog and cat were calm and happy with her. This was our first time using a pet sitter so we were probably as nervous as the pets, but we soon saw we had no reason to be. She texted us photos and updates often and did a wonderful job overall.
