Absolutely a Top Instructor/Guide. My Husband and I started with a couple of lessons from Jeff Parks and we had the best days out on the Grand River. Couldn't recommend Jeff more, he is patient, knowledgable and entertaining. Get hooked into Calmwaters Fly Fishing.

Had a great half day with Jeff. He is patient, and has a way of putting you at ease. A great teacher, Jeff has a number of metaphors he uses to help you visualize the techniques being taught. I came away much more confident in my abilities. I will go back for more!

My son and I had fly fishing lessons with Jeff. We never picked up a fly rod before.Excellent guide. Taught us a lot about the flies and what the fish are eating.We were able to cast within minutes and my son was catching trout.Jeff was patient and kind and answered so many of our questions.If you want to learn about the spots to catch fish on the river or to learn about fly fishing call Jeff.My son and I had a wonderful time.Thank you Jeff and Calmwaters.

Jeff took a few of us out on the river and introduced us to flyfishing. None of us had done this before and it was a great time. Jeff is extremely knowledgeable and a great instructor and I highly recommend. Will be going out with him again for sure.

Jeff Parks is the man! Planned a walk and wade trip for smallies on the Grand, his communication prior to the trip was prompt and clear and he was so easy to chat with over the phone, on the day of the trip he was right on time, was extremely courteous and hilarious! On the water he was a true educator and his experience as a fly instructor shined, he had us launching flies within an hour , and we couldn’t stop catching them! Caught a 3.5 lb brute smallie on the fly and countless others and lost too many to count! Don’t even second guess your choice, Jeff is your next guide!

Jeff took my husband and son out fly fishing for their first time. Jeff was knowledgeable and patient. Before long both were casting like pros. Was a wonderful experience and they both would do it again in a heartbeat.

Recently I did the learn to fly fish trip and it was an awesome experience. I was guided by Jeff and he went above and beyond to teach me what I needed to know and how to get out and have some fun catching fish. He made it a super fun experience and I will be booking again soon. 10/10 would recommend to absolutely anyone looking to get into fly fishing, or just looking for an awesome guide.

Had a fantastic experience fly fishing for the very first time. Jeff made the entire trip an absolute joy, he’s a great teacher and gently guided us through learning how to cast and fish with a fly rod. If you’re thinking of getting into fly fishing I definitely recommend taking a tour with him!
